The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
It will certainly help some but will be still costs of upgrading cabinets as they will need to be upgraded I suspect anyway to handle capacity increase. On the plus side they run one of the best data networks globally. Its a lot worse in US and Canada as have friends out there. Hopefully the price will turn around at some point.
Assuming its copper. Quite a bit of the 'last mile' is aluminium which isn't capable as same throughput as copper unfortunately. I have this issue where I am and will probably have to wait until FTTP. Rural could be same issue plus huge distances from cabinet in quite a few cases. On the flip side BT are heavily regulated which in my view is unfair. My personal view is we saw the same with British Energy who were also heavily regulated and in some respects unfairly as their 'produce price' was lower than the competition but hands were tied. And where are they now...sold to EDF and such like. IMHO we need to stop regulating our bread n butter companies.
Check the RNSs. Tosca moving things around. On the SPH website they held 134016374 26.6% as of 30/9/2017.
Also have a few friends working for them and its not so bad internally. Optimism with new management team but its going to take focus and hard work to turn things around. A totally different animal when comparing to say Carillion.
I'd say sector sentiment.
Yeah not expecting a quite turnaround but if the new management plan bares fruit should gain some market confidence and turn things about. My view is over the years the business got too comfortable. Brexit headwinds ahead but should be positive 2019. GLA
Great price at these levels. My view on the new CEO + team is they will be increasingly mindful of margins. A focus on value and quality appears strong on the agenda rather than going into a tender process too low and not making a meaningful profit. All positive ahead but might be some near term sector based turbulence
Great post. All positive for the miners :-)
All eyes on Feb 7th :D. Historical traces should tell a story plus sentiment on basic resources plus China strength.
Need a great set of results but the bigger picture is needed to understand why the monoclonal antibody wasn't as effective as expected. Often the issue are about delivery to what is a multilayered solid tumour and harder to treat especially when metastatic. These are exciting times and given the complexity of the science there will always be set backs. GLA DYOR
British chip tech...whats not to like. ARM 2.0 :D
I know them quite well. Outsourcing is still on the up but margins squeezed and Brexit wont help this. But they have been around for a while so will just have to become leaner. Solid business in my view and a well known brand. Finger in the air before end of year would be ~750p
