Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Great set of results taking prudent revised position before COP26. Activist investor had tiny position 500m and breakup talk is just trying to raise their profile in terms of asset strip. 2022 will be a good year as although oil is controversial it’s demand driven and very little to replace it in terms of energy density. Will be with us for a few more decades IMHO pending fusion and hydrogen tech. Onwards and upwards.
Indeed. Risks for those hospitalised is 30-70% for clot related issues. Clots are more common than most of us realise. For over 50’s NICE recommend 28 days of injected blood thinners after surgery. Quite a few over the counter and off the shelf meds can also raise our risk. My view is it’s easier to get caught up in the social media hype these days as it’s easy to see data out of context.
All the vaccines have reported clot and other issues. You don’t get to give medicines to this many people without some having a bad response. Needs further data so we can understand it better then make recommendations on which people shouldn’t take it.
Overall that’s true but there deaths have been right across the age spectrum. Mates parents 72 and 84 survived with very mild Covid-19 (non vaccinated) and they have more health issues than you could shake a stick at. Whereas another person late 20 with no health issues was very ill indeed. It’s very much how an individual responds.
If you look at the data the thrombosis issues are at same levels in the community irrespective of vaccine tech. Still maybe normal incidence but balance is risk. Taking aspirin, ibuprofen and contraceptives carries risk. Pretty much anything you take can have side effect. Smoking and alcohol being another example ??
Australia appear to be considering recommending holding off and of the vaccines below an age threshold as they all have rare clot related data. This appears anecdotal at the moment and well below background noise. Needs more investigation. Could it be an issue with people affected already taking other medication that increases clot risk like contraceptive pill? Time will tell but needs further work.
These businesses are cash generating machines. They are in a great position to weather out the pandemic. Sit tight and don’t panic. Fossil fuels are not going anywhere soon. Plus Shell are ploughing lots into Hydrogen R&D. God times ahead! GLA DYOR
This is probably a 2022 play but great price so picked up some more. Suspect more downside with the volatility.,,,Not unexpected until we get a vaccine. I'm looking at >June 2021 for first wave of vaccines assuming 3rd phase trials yield good data. GLA DYOR
Can't see sentiment changing much until utilization picks up. Best guess on that is when we have a vaccine ~mid 2021. Until then we have another potential lockdown of sorts. Brexit etc Winter might bring some upside as people stay warm but overall I'm not expecting good times in oil/gas until 2022. So very much a mid term game :-)
Picked up some more. Next dip in 890. I’m all for green policies but the world is energy hungry and the alternatives aren’t there yet. Roll on hydrogen tech which RDS are investing big with plus fusion but that’s a whole off. Battery tech in my view is a statement as has its own environmental considerations. GLA DYOR
Pandemic impacting oil utilisation. Bargain at these prices. Just bought more. GLA DYOR
Will stay at these levels while there is little utilisation of fossil fuels...minor point of a global pandemic. When a vaccine is released will be business as usual. I want clean energy like the next guy but the green lobby are way ahead of themselves thinking this is a time of change....I will it was. Go develop the science and tech to replace it rather than sitting on the fence #fusion #hydrogen RDS are spending buckets with hydrogen tech.
Could hit a tenner again but in a year or so we’ll be back above £20.
