Thanks Dannyspaniel. Just fed up of having loads of winning trades and then getting wiped out in a blink of an eye. I spread bet alot, but get stop lossed out on 20/30 % drops , that just kills me off. This one was even more painful !
Rastuss, the teacher was spread betting, the book is surprisingly good, and he donates all proceeds to GamblingAware, so worth a read to help others.

This stock has made me quit the market for good.

I had a 2k margin call on nmc , but was £1200 up.
On suspension I sold all my positions , including £300 a point on lloyds etc. I then left £800 in account to cover the margin. Haven't traded since. Saved me 15k+, and screw the speadbetting firm!

Not really a blessing. This could go into administration, and you have no chance to get out. This could go to Zero, whilst suspended!

Wasn't Norges the ones who piled into sxx as well?

Used nearly all of my savings and paid off my mortgage.
Making £800 a month now, from not paying a mortgage, without having to trade. In 10 months would have recouped my losses on nmc!

Mrd, i was in tullow too, then nmc so feel your pain.
I think shares are a curse. I always sell too early on a rally, and when i don't they nose dive. My positions are constantly in the red, and it seems my mood is determined by the markets, which normally means a **** mood.
I'm going to try and give up, and if anything I'll actually be wealthier!

Dogger, you would have to leave 24500 in your account then. Sorry mate, you're pretty shafted, but you might salvage the rest of your money in your account.

Rules changed last year, they can only take what's in your account, there would be no further debt. They wouldn't blacklist you, as you've done nothing legally wrong.

Dogger, what is the margin on your position?
