I've mentioned before that, even as long term and peed off holder, I find Toffers a bit annoying (they post some useful stuff but it is unfortunately regurgitated day after day).

However, I don't remember anyone talking about how they could understand if Mac got 'topped' when he incessantly spammed the board about 30 times a day for a couple of years. Or at least if they did they didn't get pulled up on it.

I love a bit of banter, and the annoying missus or mister stuff might fly in the context of a pub conversation where I've heard many friends, of both sexes, say they could kill their other half on many occasions: but we're on an internet message board here and I'm fairly sure if anyone on here was in a pub and overheard a complete stranger nagging their partner they wouldn't wander over and suggest the nagged party might be within their rights to top the other.
