as someone who works every day with large hedgefunds I can assure you that every fund has the right to gate the fund (stop withdrawel) under certain circumstances. usually, but not limited to a percentage withdrawal threshold.
this is made clear in fund documentation and is essentiual to allow orderly re assignemnt from illiquid to more liquid assets as opposed to having a firwe sale.
the illiquid assets often provide the higher returns (and risks) investors in such funds crave.

Other posters have some sort of obsession with the Sound BOD. It’s really not healthy.
Others have an agenda to talk this down for some reason, which frankly is healthier than the other types, but rather transparent.

Of course we also have some with a positive agenda trying to talk it up. At least this makes sense assuming they hold stock.

Then we have a few who try to counter the obsessed and false statements (Cove had multiple tcf, yeah right).

And the sale price will not be affected by anything written here, it will be decided between Sound and a company with very deep pockets.

anyone with an ounce of common sense can see it's a line from 0 to 100% with 3d as an EXAMPLE at 50%.
the point being (for the those to dim to work it out) you don't need to drill to achieve SIGNIFICANTLY more value than the sp is showing.

and THAT is where the offers will come, not at present sp.

a (very) quick read implies that a succesful commercial well actualy only adds similar % of value as 3d seismic.
makes it clear why they don't want to drill TE11, a significant portion of the value is already realised without spudding the well.

little old Sound and it's huge acerage at tendrara would cost a truly insignificant amount to Shell, evebn at £1 a share!

the elephant in the room is the fact that the big boys have taken adjacent acerage to ours for a reason and will have been doing their own analysis. this combined with our seismic (whether flawed or not) all adds to the picture.
we must not forget all the 'background' stuff that sound have got in place. market, infrastructure agreements, tax breaks ....

infrastructure agreement in place.
this all has value!

huge amountrs of seismic done - whether great or not has value.
exploration acerage with huge EI approval in place - value
multiple targets identified - value.

selling for 10/11p or no sale, dream on :)

worth more than 10/11p?
if so, how much more?
would a buyer pay more on top of that for the rest of the acerage /potential?
