sharetrader, whilst I have no interest in joining the deramping moaners I think I should ;point out a flaw in your statement.
let's say two companies find 1tcf gas. company A: has 1Billion shares in issue so by yot account the 1tcf adds 500million to it's valuation. But company B has only 100 shares in issue so the 1TCF only adds £50 to it's valuation.
see the flaw in your argument?

guessing at target valuations is a mugs game for various reasons.

the market over reacts in both directions. Good news and prospects. or even just good sentiment can lead to crazy valuations, likewise bad news or bad sentiment can lead to severely undervalued companies.
fwiw I believe sound are very undervalued for their prospects at this time. good news and or a change of sentiment will cause the sp to rise significantly from here. Sound seem to be in a sweet spot of geography, geology, time and demand.
will the price rise to (or above) 30p any time soon? probably not, but never say never. will be higher than 30p at some point (more drilling etc.) yes, probably. 500 million valuation cam certaoinly be justified IF Tendrara can be unlocked.

Personally, I wouldn't bother, the negative and bitter losers will still be posting their gibberish when Sound is worth significantly more. The success of sound will eat them up because THEY fcuked up!

I find it interesting that from a position of knowing absolutely nothing about my trading or financial situation you can come to the conclusion I am lying.
But, when faced with obviously exagerated (at best) comments from the previous BOD you, like many others, believed everything you were told and bet far more than you could afford to lose.
personaly it means nothing to me what an anonymous person on a free bb thinks of me, but it is ironic, and I guess if it makes you feel better about your bad decisions, fair enough. and if you've now become more cautious it can only help.

I beg to differ, I've been here a long time, maybe less than some, but certainly since pre the big rise under old bod.
I have bought sufficiently on the drops to around a penny to be in proffit (including thoise I stupidly bought in double figures).

I am becoming convinced that there is an orchestrated attemp to undermine sound.
as soon as anything positive (sp movement or news) happens up pop these people that are sitting on huge losses, haven't checked in years, but pick today to pop in and post stuff about the past!

this 'deal' looks unlikely to get support from either Angus or Sound shareholders.
which begs the question, why hasn't it been put to bed yet. why the extensions.
seems to me there must be something else going on that will become clear to investors BEFORE the deal has to be voted on , that will make it attractive to both.
either that or Graham has completely lost the plot. the continuing delivery of promised steps strongly suggests he hasn't lost it.

more drilling - seems highly likely
tax issue - just a matter of time
sound are in the sweet spot. they have what the government needs (gas) at a time everyone else wants it too!

so you are suggesting that every investor in every listed company 'is just waiting to get out'
