This seems to be your modus operandi, try to twist people's words to mean what you want them to mean as opposed to what they actually do mean.

My point in posting the link to the article was not that it explicitly mentions Morocco, rather that it highlights that Europe is looking towards Africa for future gas supplies, hence the subject matter of my post 'the demand is certainly there'
How (or why) anyone would try to spin the article as negative for sound is beyond me.

we seem to have got into a weird 'pay your tax' rant.

I pay mre tax than many people earn, yet I have private health cover so don't really impact the health service, my kids were privately educated at my (post tax) expense so I didn't impact the education system. I don't even have mains sewage here so have to pay for that too.

he was suggesting (rightly in my view) that the people of Morocco would be better served encouraging the development of a local gas supply industry than screwing a dubious (at best) transaction tax out of sound. Remember they already offer a significant tax holiday on gas revenue!

The way this will play out is that the tax authority will come to recognise the demand is spurious and drop it. Whether that is because they genuinely believe tha,t as sound (and their tax lawyers) do, or because some pressure is put on them from senior government figures matters little.
