Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
@ http://88ewiki.wikidot.com/icewine-conventional, read Stephen Staley: London Presentation Feb, 2017 & also, nearly 3 years later, here we are at 30th January 2020, having recently read this from DW: 15/01/2019
Highlights
• Ice road construction underway – base layer ~25% complete
• Permit to Drill submitted – approval expected in January 2020
• Operational activity for Charlie-1 progressing to plan for February 2020 spud
Apart from SP not doing what we would all like it to do, we appear to be on the cusp of something great & all forecast by SS nearly 3 years ago.
What’s not to like?

Great read & thanks for putting it up.
Had read it previously & as I've said before, always a good idea to go back & read things again, which I have just done. We now have more details & we know a bit more about the subject matter. What a difference a few words can make when you read an article 2nd or 3rd time around & things seem to make more sense or give you a greater insight into what it all actually means.
Like the last 8 words in the piece below, taken from the linked article.
All operations will be conducted from the ice pads. Facilities used for the operation will
include a satellite office camp, storage and laydown areas, a communication tower, and
maintenance shops. The staging pad will be constructed one mile west of the Dalton Highway at
milepost 386. The primary drilling objectives include testing and evaluating the Seebee
Formation for "oil, a target found in surrounding exploration wells".
Just how much is there, is the burning question.

Maybe something in what you say based on these words from HotCopper.
Funds were told the equity would be "used to fund the ongoing evaluation of the prospectivity of the company's existing assets", which are mainly located in Alaska, and strengthen its balance sheet.
The equity would "also be used to cover any potential costs for its Charlie-1 well" in Alaska, which is due to spud - the process of beginning to drill a well - in February.
We will have to wait & see

When I say we, I am assuming that PMO would have taken the reins if 100 bopd is bubbling from Charlie 1 at flow test. They are keen on producing by 2023/4 if I am not mistaken. Will they not be financing the gravel road?

Totally agree, as your 19 page "return of service" seems to indicate.
Could we even dream that permit submissions for the aforementioned gravel road, be made within weeks of flow-testing 100 bopd?
What a game changer that might be!!
We live in hope.

UR right Brom but I believe gravel is sourced regionally & of course there is always the issue of "soggy", during the 6 week summer. Can't have the road moving around.
You certainly are a speedy reader. Didn't expect any responses until at least Friday. Hmmmmmm

Good post my friend.
I include links to "Gravel Roads for Dummies".
My advice to anyone who cares to read: Set aside a few days as the articles are not brief.
Did we know that the Dalton Highway, is indeed a 414-mile stretch of GRAVEL & DIRT road that runs from the town of Livengood up to Prudhoe Bay and through some of Alaska's most remote wilderness. ... Often, the Trans-Alaska pipeline, which runs parallel to the road, is a driver's only companion.

Loving the enthusiasm & optimism now, allowing ourselves to even be thinking of gravel roads.

Hi, lets just say governed by ASX Terms & Conditions, regarding the release of market sensitive information.
Really good for those night-birds lingering & waiting for info between 22:00 & 23:00 GMT.
You are definitely correct regarding recent trading patterns on ASX. "Not seen much driving from ASX, its a damp squib"
