Morning, good posts chaps thank you. I think we all have rightly an element of scepticism when investing in AIM, but what out bashers fail to touch on in all their ramblings on CRV is one simple thing - WHY? Why would Mark do all this if its an elaborate scam....? Is it for his salary? He doesn't take one....... Is it "lifestyle" ? Dublin in January, armed escorts in Africa, dealing with PIs, AGMs etc etc, I somehow doubt it. Is it constant placings to raise capital for spurious reasons? Never happened Mark has put years of his life into CRV, he only gets rewarded if we get rewarded as do CRVs new corporate investors, as does his mate Evan, etc etc it's not rocket science.....

LONDON (Alliance News) - Craven House Capital PLC on Monday said there is a "once in thirty-year opportunity" to invest in "good companies" in the wake of capital outflows from emerging markets. "Our view is that many emerging economies have experienced an overdue and well deserved correction. "These same economies were even less equipped to handle the capital flight, which withdrew from the market much faster than it entered. Everyone from finance ministers to shopkeepers have been caught up in the riptide of capital flight. We believe this has created a once in thirty-year opportunity to invest in good companies," Pajak added. The chairman's commentary came as Craven House said its net asset value fell to GBP4.6 million on November 30, from GBP4.7 million on May 31, the period being the first half to its financial year

Looks like we got VERY close to a deal in the last 6 months - "During the period an additional loan of $2,099,989 was received but was repaid immediately, with no interest being charged."

Pretty much as I expected I would say. Was this in CRVs investment policy previously? The Company may choose to invest in newly formed or early stage asset backed companies without any track record

Better than I expected "The Company is currently in discussions with a number of prospective investors" is now "The Investment Manager is currently in advanced discussions with a number of prospective investors" So up to £30m with GEM is a done deal and the new investors at an advanced stage. Happy with that.

Result of General Meeting Craven House Capital (AIM:CRV) is pleased to announce that all resolutions proposed at its General Meeting, which was held earlier today, were duly passed. The resolutions approved an increase in the Company's authorised share capital and will allow the Company's Investment Manager to proceed with its plans to undertake a private placement in the Company's shares. The Investment Manager is currently in advanced discussions with a number of prospective investors with regard to making a significant capital investment in the Company via a subscription for new ordinary shares. The terms of any capital investment are yet to be finalised and will be subject to the clearance of all applicable regulatory approvals both in the UK and overseas jurisdictions. There can be no guarantee that any capital investment in the Company will be made and further updates will be provided to the market in due course.
