Time will tell TC but currently CRV are breaching AIM rules if there's another 3% plus holder from the placing not yet announced. I agree that's rarely a concern for Mark but eyes are on CRV now or will be at least. Why would "professional investors" not buy now on the open market at say 1p? I'll phone my broker tomorrow and ask for a quote for 30m and let you know the number when they stop laughing ! ;-). I just wonder if this was part of the deal to get SI on board ......

Just a thought, is the use of the word "jurisdictions" significant? Why not say in these countries? Africa is a free trade zone as is South America the base of the subsidiary MAY not indicate where the investment will be. As I say, just a thought. A definite curve ball from CRV, not what I expected at all, however as TC points out CRV can afford to have their finger in many pies at the moment...... Looks like we can expect a steady flow of RNSs from CRV....... !

So why speculate on CRVs involvement? Firstly, the Vos deal requires £32.5m in cash, which to the best of my knowledge Desmonds do not have, CRV now do. Secondly, Bloomberg now lists VOS as a joint venture with a Company called Qeton which was recently set up in Dublin with Brian Winters as Director, Mark Pajak is a recently resigned director. Thirdly, Craven Industrial Holdings Plc has been set up at the same address as Qeton with Brian Winters and Mark Pajak as directors. Craven Industrial Holdings are able to issue up to 500,000,000 shares. At the last AGM Mark confirmed he had access to £20m, with a further £30m from GEM is this pure coincidence? Of course this is speculation, given the large amount of capital made available "At CRV's discretion", the company owning the second biggest dehydration factory in Africa, close to this location, the connection within Desmonds (Mark Pajak being on the board of both companies), CRV with farm land potentially capable of adding value to the business, such an acquisition could certainly prove a very savvy move from the BOD.

Morning This was part of the piece I did for Camkite Understanding where the funds will be spent proves tricky... looking back at previous acquisitions and taking into account the company have confirmed they are seeking transformational deals. One strong possibility is from Mark Pajaks other interest Desmond Investments. Some investors may remember that around this time last year Desmond Holdings (CRV’s investment manager) released news of the company buying 100% of a 1300 hectare Macadamia and dry fruit farm based close to CRV’s existing farm in Africa… this deal was for a total consideration of $65m - $32.5m in cash and $32.5m in shares… On first glance of such a deal this looks to be expensive, but after digging a little deeper it’s easy to see there is potentially extremely good value. One hectare of macadamia trees produce around 4000 kilos a season - times this by 1300 hectares equates to around 5.2m kilos PA - times by the current wholesale price of $4.40 (which also gained 20% in wholesale price over a 2 year period) would return annual revenues of $22.8m (US) at today’s prices. Macadamias are currently the most expensive nut in the world and there is a 2 year wait on Macadamia trees (they take 15 years to mature) and china's demand is huge, of course this most certainly adds reason as to the 20% rise in the luxury food item. Nice one thanks Steve As we seem to have a few new informed eyes let me put my theory on here again, happy to be shot down in flames or have any obvious errors pointed out Take a look at Craven Industrial Holdings Plc set up by Mark and Brian Winters (of Qeton) 10 months ago in Dublin at a very familliar address to "manage the activities of Holding Companies". I downloaded their documents and they have the ability to issue 500,000,000 million shares despite not actually doing anything since set up. I asked Mark if they were anything to do with CRV, you can guess the reply. Now with Desmonds involved in the Vos deal valued in the tens of millions, yet not having the means to fund this deal, could it be that Craven will purchase Qeton/Vos and then be reversed into Craven Industrial Holdings Plc for lets say a nice round £50m and a very easy route to a market listing for Desmonds/Qeton/Vos. I have always said that Evan and Mark have too large a holding each to eventually sell their stake on the open market and there has to be an end game for CRV at some point. Happily admit this is not my area, but it does all seem plausible to me.

Now all we need to know is where the other 14% (have rechecked my maths) have ended up. Could be its 5 investors each with under 3% but I do doubt it

I could be well wide of the mark Steve but I feel that Desmond Holdings Ltd is Marks investment vehicle in CRV not the source of the £20m "Desmonds" money he mentioned. So in effect Mark has invested another £225,000 on top of his £1.6m holding at 1.25p. I find this staggeringly encouraging when this is in addition to the bonus he will receive for the NAV increase we will have seen in the year just closed. When some have been selling, the informed Evan has added to his investment at 1.25p which already exceeds £2m. If things were just a tad more transparent I think we would be buying even though we are all in deep here already.....

So as we are in a closed period Evan took £125,000 of the placing shares and Desmonds £255,000 at 1.25p. Just wait until the press hear about that..........!! ;-) Wonder if its been updated as the news on the other 16%, or indeed another placing, is on the way?

Someone check my maths please? It looks like Evan has increased by 10.425 million shares? Intelligent Buildings now hold 93,133,925 shares That accounts for 103,558,925 of the placing shares, leaving nigh on 174m shares yet to be disclosed. That's 16%?
