Hold or Fold..5 Mar 2022 14:14
First, I'm not advising anyone here, I'm not qualified or clever enough :-)
Just my musings, I was fortunate enough to get in sub 1p, and topped up couple of times, giving me average of 1.59p.
Took £20k off the table last year and used that towards house extension and etc, but still have a large holding here.
I never doubted the BOD or company, was comfortable with the unfolding strategy, i.e. sell EUA v1, dividend paid, and rest would go into EUA v2. I was even comfortable in that if the sale failed to materialise, we had the Sino deal in our back pocket, just meant waiting a few years longer for big returns.
Putin's actions and the conflict has turned everything on its head, so, I ask myself the following
Do I trust and have confidence in the BOD - Yes
Are the assets real and have value close to £200b - Yes
Will the company or assets get sold - Yes
Will the conflict end soon - Yes
if the sale went thru, even at 40p, will that be enough for me - Yes, big return
Do I know when the sale will be concluded - No
Could the company/assets be seized by the Russian Government - Don’t know
So, there I have it, I've done my risk/aware analysis, even though rem remainder of my holding here is free carry, I'm still feeling the pain just like the rest of you with bigger averages. For some, if this went down, they would lose their capital, for some, they would lose huge paper profits, but the pain would be the same.
Me, I'm going to take the risk and remain invested, the size of prize is too big. Each to their own, but I genuinely wish each, and everyone invested all the very best.
