I most certainly wouldn't leave a company like the one he was employed by to join Novacyt unlesss I was pretty certain the future was looking positive , this isn't a clerical level hire , the guy is established , he will have asked plenty of questions and was obviously satisfied with the answers. The versatility of the usage for the portable versalab is huge. The thread I posted early a.m discussed the lack of sequencing in much of Europe which is a massive concern as international travel / holidays start rapidly increasing. These could be used to bridge that gap with an immediate impact. Moving further afield the situation is even worse and a variant knows no borders. This should prove a lucrative addition to the portfolio of diagnostic tools. In the future this will be used to test for multiple diseases.
Have read numerous boards this a.m , come on Ncyt release this LFT on time and with high S&S , this could get very interesting , heres hoping GM is correct in that it will add significant value. Because rest assured we are more then READY for that!!!

Sounds like perhaps more then just a PCR / rapid Antigen test is required to enable safe travel. More variant testing of population, reflux/genotyping if no full sequencing available. Lots of Greek islands etc.

Well thats it in a nutshell BH2 , we have the reach to make up for lack of sequencing anywhere , don't even require a lab. Test Test Test. I believe them when they worldclass and working with governments and institutions all over the world. Particularly like the fact they are one step ahead and have assays for VOI, not just VOC.

Sorry just read my own post. I was guessing about which four. Not a guess about genome testing much much faster , hours not days like sequencing. No idea who else does it , but it was us chosen and we seem to be the fastest at adding new variants to our arsenal of tests.

Wilson no idea , recall seeing ON raised 271mm for sequencing equip , they have Minion and Gridion ( may have names wrong)
But not being utilised in vans to sequence as the reports I have read are that vans are stuffed with PCR tests that are sent to central labs. My guess and purely a guess , geneotyping much faster then full sequencing, so see if its a known variant first , if not full sequencing. As to the 4 ?

Ox Nan are prolific tweeters , don't hear much about Pcr (lamp) testing , it all seems to be about seq
