The money is Novacyt's to spend as they desire, unless proven in a court of law otherwise. The money is NOT RINGFENCED..
The biggest shorterm catalyst here will be M&A.
Harchris is correct the cash pile is a huge benefit and once M&A is announced and a revenue stream is evident it will allay fears that are being spread that Novacyt don't have a strong case.
Once we see a good revenue stream, as far as I'm concerned the court case can take as long as it wants, as each passing month dissipates the impact of the outcome.
Perhaps , the wording from the chairman that D.A " helped " is a large clue as to why he is not in situ still. A CEO should not be "helping " he should be driving the business forwards.
No excuse , but perhaps with regards to M&A this will prove to be beneficial , acquisitions are NOT becoming more expensive in this economic climate , there will be many companies with great products but are on their knees because they are strapped for cash.
I would imagine ( :) ) that regardless of who becomes CEO that J.M will have been told M&A is top priority.
Regardless of what your opinion is of GM , I'd guarantee he would have had some M&A competed by now. Watch this space , because they must know it is crucial for longevity to compliment R&D . Another reason why perhaps D.A is no longer with us , didn't want to pull the trigger ??
That is the big news I am waiting for and I am confident it will happen.
