Next good read, mjng, absolutely he is very keen of hemo, not sure when news will drop at this point. Technically I think without extending again they have until 31st March to sign a licence for CDX but my gut says they worked on the licencing agreement over lockdown and Eli are keen to settle before the end of the calander year. But very unlikely before mid to late December. We should see FOMO kicking in sooner though. Bigger question is how the market reacts to any other news before hand, update on SAFE is due

Sorry but do you see Vlad shouting and screaming and releasing RNS after RNS about how good this company is? do we have a 2.5bn valuation??? Are you accusing Vlad of lying that Eli have validated the work and are picking a antibody to licence?

Your post is either irrelevant or libellous if your accusing Hemogenyx of practising market manipulation.

Being realistic I think the next update will just be adding SAFE to Penn + in vivo results. Its a massive achievement with big potential but realistically probably only add a few pence to the SP, but if it gets us comfortably into double figures thats something. But then as we get into december FOMO will kick in, we just dont know if Eli will sign before 31st Dec or after, some people happy to take a chance, others not. Trickle of new investors so SP should slowly rise, either way, just got to wait now :P

Shares, if you go back to when the work with Eli first started there are RNS's detailing that an antibody had been tested in vivo and in vitro and proven to work against AML. I just have a hunch, could be completly off track, but that Eli are testing the antibodies against not just AML but also stem cells and other forms of cancer like ALL, that single antibody they licence may have multiple applications, once its licenced and approved for AML whats to stop them getting authorisation to use on other indications? of course trials will be required but its safety profile will already be established.
Like I say I may be reading it wrong but what if I am not? It explains why Eli needed time in the lab to test again and also increases the value of this single antibody by several multiples

Cam, I think big part of it is they by and large were heavily in profit so willing to risk a little of that profit on the off chance the update was bad or they went bust or something. Hard to close now when they could have closed at 205 or so, definitely their pride is on the line, so they can justify it to themselves to hold if they say they always planned to hold for the update.
But guaranteed they didnt want or expect the SP to rebound this strong before the update.
I think for many they have resigned to closing and know they are going to pay a premium but greed prevents them closing now as it was much lower just a week ago.

It is funny to see shorters turn up now, fish in a barrel :-)
They are seeing their profits dropping away, knowing they could close now but they were hoping to wait for results and react based on the results alone. They must be livid that the SP is rebounding on the prospect of good news :-)

Do they:
A, Cut and run now, take what profit they can?
B, Wait for Update and close when it lands?

I hope B and for some like tenobas it will be pride issue now, wont want to admit he was wrong, so will hold out and wait and when good news drops and his short position is closed automatically when he runs out of funds he will scurry away and we wont see any future posts.

@chisel, thats the point, the MCap is so low right now we dont need details, we dont need massive profits or improvement in trading forecast. Shorts have the SP well below fair market value based on fear and speculation of it going bust. If the update says doing fine, made a reduced profit but in the black, thats it, shorts are gone, SP rebounds. If the update reveals an increase in profits and dividends? How many LTHers will want to average down? What will they be willing to pay to average down if they know future is secure and edventually will be paying dividends and back £10+? You paid £4, would you then pay £3 on positive RNS? What about people who paid 5-20? What are they willing to pay? People like this company because it pays good dividends and has revolving contracts and licence fees so its a safe pension share when its not at risk of going bust.

For me its clear they are not going bust, happy to put my money on it (and have) If I am wrong I lose it all if I am right its a minimum bag within a few weeks when positive RNS drops. It really is that simple right now ALL or NOTHING 0 or 500p+

I have confidence because I know people who work there and am active in the chat rooms in belfast and its all positive plus I follow them on twitter and they are signing business left right and center. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

Good luck, and I say that sincerly as your clearly down and I hope your able to average down when the time comes. But I think the reason why I and others are so excited is the very fact that we believe shorts are doing the same and I expect they will be able to react much quicker than most PIs to buy any available stock as soon as news does drop. I honestly do not believe that you will be able to buy in at 275p if good news drops, but I wish you well as I would much rather you get the shares than the shorts, so please if you wait be quick on the click :-) !!

Absolutely correct, only negative news in the history of this company has been delays, and while I wish I could blame Hemogenyx or Eli Lilly for this extended delay I do not believe that Vlad played any part in the release or spread of Covid19 so this time he gets a free pass.....
This time however I dont believe there will be any further extensions or delays. Eli Lilly labs are back working on CDX after months and months of being shut to everything but Covid. I believe they were even offered a longer extension but it was they who said 31st December.

Clemoc, if the news is bad then someone in MicroFocus deserves the award for best spinning on social media of the decade! That said, in terms of the SP for news to be bad enough to justify a fall in SP it would have to be something akin to last years where there was a 1bn writedown which wiped all profits. They would have to try really really hard to lose 1bn this year in normal day to day operations, plus its clear the are signing contracts and adding to their revenues. As has been said before we dont need a good update, we are even fine with a poor or disappointing update where profits are much lower than expected.
Shorts are holding and hoping for company going under, any profits atall and we are talking return to dividends and sustainable future and when that is clear in black and white to everyone the shorts will close. On that its hard to imagine not settling somewhere 500-£10 range post trading update with shorts closed.

Totally agree I wanted positive news soon while we were on the way down, but now? No I would rather we keep climbing as long as possible before news lands. Especially if the shorters have their little hearts set on waiting for news before deciding what to do :-)

Why on earth are you wasting your time right now to come on this board to type that you believe its over valued etc and trying to encourage others to sell? Motivation is everything. There are 100s of companies I think are a disaster and would NEVER invest in, do you see me going on each of them telling people how I feel? If I held shares in them do you think i would go on post negatively and watch my capital deplete? OR would I perhaps just sell my shares and move on?
While we are in these prices I will buy every single share I can afford as I believe 2020 will be an inflection year, if you dont believe that? I really dont care, I have done my own reading and am happy to put my money where my mouth is.

The TL;DR version of Camkites' research is:

Micro Focus made a profit and would have been in profit where it not for a one off write down.

If you believe the company has not coped well with Covid and global down turn has hurt their business then the effect is LESS profit, but still a profit which COULD translate to dividends.
If you believe the company has thrived, signed lots of contracts and increased revenue over the past year then they have ALOT more profit which can translate to generous dividends or used for growth.

The shorting here was self-fulfilling, consistent shorting meant investors sold while they could knowing it would go lower. There was a risk of going bust, people kept getting burnt while trying to catch a falling knife, no positive news or updates for months. The current SP is ONLY justified if your shorting and believe that either the company is going to go bust OR you can convince everyone the company will go bust.

If shorters have started to turn up on this board it means only that they have started to pay very careful attention to this share and are getting nervous. I expect to see shorts beginning to close or reduce in the next few sessions. Enjoy the upcoming squeeze:-)

I agree, news is soon, somewhat surprised not already happened, but thats business for you! With regards to dividends, MCRO are a dividend stock, they make profits they pay dividends, its why people buy them and add to their retirement fund. I would say paying a dividend however small is very high on their priorities right now. Given the current SP they dont even have to be generous compared to previous years. They could easily pay 50p->£1 per share without making much of a dent, for that matter they could pay 25p, 10% of todays SP which is a massive dividend to pay! But 2 years ago share holders would have scoffed and laughed at them. This low SP has a massive impact on us share holders but unless MCRO are planning to raise by issuing stock it does not affect their profitability.
A Short squeeze is coming, with or without update. It was a race to the bottom for sure but we hit it and we bounced.

This is just off the top of my head, welcome others fleshing out, but it would be worth recounting just what exactly IS due for new visitors here:
1, CDX licencing with Eli, Development agreement extended to End December so they can pick one antibody to licence. Wording has been quite explicit here, there was no mention of testing to see if it works or discussions over the licence, it reads like they have a pocket full of cash, they are going to a car showroom to buy a car but they want a final test drive before they buy. Vlad et all are very keen for 2020 to be an inflection year so dont be surprised to see them squeeze the licencing in before EOY. I think its going to be January because there has been chat of a "licencing agreement" period, but is that still the case? Maybe that was just a stalling tactic while they waited for the labs to re-open, maybe the licence is ready to go pending Antibody ID.

2, SAFE-HEMO-CAR-T - Expecting a partner for this, PROBABLY add to existing sponsored agreement with Penn, probably coincide with results of successful completion of in vivo and in vitro testing.

3, HEMO-CAR-T - The agreement with Penn was clinical readyness, they have had a few months now, expect news soon on this which could be either IND application or even completion of the 30 day waiting period or announcement of a clinical trial.

4, Covid - Who knows, Vlad very bullish but also very secretive about whats going on.

5, Partner revenue streams - Orgenesis have been making the news, there are existing licencing agreements with them for 20% of related work, we could see an income here in the not too distant future.

6, HuPHEC - Think on hold? But if Belgium decides to promote growth and stimulate the economy Hemo were already in discussions re grant for the Cell bank, dont be surprised to see this come back in play unexpectedly.

7. The Mice - Vlad has stated the mice are of interest to big pharma, but looks like they are not actively selling them focusing instead on CAR-T and CDX. But when the mice have been proven they will be massively attractive to other big pharma sitting on lots of abandoned or stalled trials where these mice can be used to test safety

8, Lupus - Again with Eli Lilly, been quiet recently but we could have news any time.

9, CDX for ALL - From the wording for CDX licence HemoGenyx has a number of antibodies. They have clearly landed on something that works, when they complete AML licencing with Eli Lilly expect to see licencing of other antibodies following in short order once the mice have been proven. From the wording I believe they can licence OTHER AML antibodies to other pharma also?
