Phillip ... When do we think the first steel for an actual ship for the fullfillment of this actual contract might be needed ?? I know you know the answer but im asking a rhetorical question ? The issues faced now are based on lead times for materials at the first say three months of Putins invasion. They are felt now because thats how manufacturing works !!! Its not next day Amazon delivery.
These ships will require skill imports from the previous " brain drain " from the area ! Will require new apprentices and training, and THEN materials.
If this war becomes the new cold war, international markets will adapt, ( unlikely ) if it is over in less than a year then the supply chain will be re-established quickly.
Point is this war, one way or another will not impact supply to these ships because by the time materials are ordered we will have peace or a new cold war supply chain and almost certainly it will be the former.
All obvious really. gla
