I didnt "appeal for a fire sale" I appealed for a statement of intent and a small parcel sale and dont care if it is at a fire sale discount ! There is a huge difference but ya knew that didnt ya? ya little tinker :) Look i just feel it would reassure, provide a bolster to the balance sheet and put an element of risk on the sellers and shorters until this debacle is over. So sell a small parcel to NN or who ever and lets at least put an element of risk on the shorters and those offloading to buy back cheaper. More importantly though its a line in the sand for the manipulators. Im here long haul and pandering to the worries of shareholders is not normal practice but these are not normal times !!! gla

Russia already struggling with supply lines in a very dry summer !!! Do you think borscht with ice cubes will cut the mustard ( scuse mixed metaphor) come winter? Ukraine will keep hitting trains, ammo dumps food dumps. The troops will need heavy winter gear oil and diesel will be needed in greater quantities. I somehow cant see this conscript generation accepting the second ww conditions the Russians fought in/defended the motherland in AND they were then retreating INTO food and fuel not sitting there freezing/starving !!
Russia may well actually want this done before winter and the supply lines becomes an even bigger issue alongside mass desertion !!! Just an optimistic view is all. gla
