The reality is Panther has to drill to create value and it’s $150-200 USD per meter so c$50k per hole. Can Darren secure a rig to start in the autumn before winter sets in?

Why not just pocket the cashflow from 55-60kbopd for the next 5-10 years and invest somewhere else more investment friendly?

What’s the NPV, ROCE and payback for the FDP bearing in mind the race is now on to commercialise assets against a background of falling demand expected in the next 5-10 years. Very broadly you can buy 10,000 bopd production plus associated reserves for c£100m with much better netbacks, better correlation to oil price and without the country risk.

@Alfacomp the mining costs might be zero but there's still OPEX processing costs and plant CAPEX. Overall its great news and gives ATM a competitive advantage.

IRC divestment cuts POG debt on balance sheet opens way to regular dividends
Covid related inflation keeps gold high

Reasons to sell:
AGM shenanigans trying to remove and neuter BoD, want POG on the cheap

I can't find enough upside at 20p to warrant this a buy.

CAPEX 150-200m looks a bit wide as they're in period 8, would expect a clear road map and forecast by now.

BCB is correct, this is ground floor before the hot money arrives and drilling starts across multiple sites. I get the feeling investor money is flowing into exploration stocks.

Whilst I’m long in GKP, Kurdistan is a basket case at the moment and the rewards do not align with risks. It’s not immediately clear why GKP would invest $400-500m on the next development phase when there are plenty of gas/light oil opportunities elsewhere with decent leverage to the oil price.
