George - absolutely, it could! That explanation may even be a better justification for the chart.Perhaps the seller won’t sell below 1.86.

It still seems more likely to me though that PIs are selling and a large order is being filled.

I would personally hope that it is no 1 as the PI selling will dry up and confidence will be gained from IIs increasing their stake (or a new ii).

It looks like we are in for another day of the price control at £1.86.

It seems there are 3 possible explanations:

1. The share price is trying to trickle down, but a background buyer is purchasing at a level which holds the price.
2. The share price is trying to trickle up, but a background seller is selling at 1.86 holding the price constant.
3. A big buyer and big seller have agreed to transfer at 1.86.

I personally think it is the 1st option.

The flat patches are on the bottom not the top. This indicates that the share price cannot drop below this price (as anything at this level is bought).
It would feel correct that there is a large amount of PI selling going on to fund their 1.75 open offer.
The 5 Mil trade yesterday.

So who is buying and will they continue today. If so the share price has to move up once the PIs have all sold.

I had been somewhat disappointed not to have seen a heavyweight name yet, but as you rightly point out, at this stage, we do not want to partner with anyone who will contract out our upside.

Akron had $17m revenue last year and have 19 employees.

Would anyone with more medical manufacturing expertise than me, be able to suggest whether 100,000s of treatments a month is realistic for a company of this size?

If the answer is no, and they are simply the most cost effective way of producing 900 treatments for the P3 trials, it would be interesting to know.

And Gilead’s $4bn up front payment to Galapagos was while the target drug was in phase 3 trials.

This link shows what has been paid by big pharma for recent breakthrough drugs. You can’t help but think that the most effective treatment for a virus which has bought the world to its knees, should top that table.

I note that AZs acquisition of DS8201, a treatment for breast cancer with a 61% effective track record, was made before FDA approval was granted.

I think I remember reading earlier that people with HL or IG had received notification of option to purchase their pro rata share of the placement. Is that correct?

I have been up since 4 thinking about what’s coming next. Some possible scenarios I thought about/dreamt are:

1. The IIs who take the first placement must be lined up already. It will be very interesting to see who they are. For example if it were to be Venrock you’d be very happy with that. Could it even be a pharma or government? A little optimistic but like I said this was part dream.
2. Wouldn’t the best time to issue a placing of £87m be just before some good news.
3. Might we see some mention from the EMA PrIME this week?
4 The RNS was heavily targeted at the US FDA. Could this be because there is something in the works in Europe yet to be announced.
5. I would love to see an order from the French even if it is small. It would be nice to have our first formal order in!

People say synairgen do not have leaks but the trade volume the Friday before manic Monday was 5x more than any previous day that month.
And as someone above says, there are now many other companies and bodies involved who each might have someone who tells a few friends.
If and when good news is imminent, I suspect there will be signs some people know something.
