One thing that I like about JSE is that they buy existing producing oil fields and make them better,
Increase production and reserves.
So instead of spending on exploration and the uncertainty that it might go wrong, duster e.g,
they just buy proven producing assets. Very sensible.
Lots of news coming, some we know about but it looks like there could be a few surprises as well.

Just seen an article that Stena has signed a contract with Petrofac for the Stena Don to carry out 1 drill in UK waters in july.

Get the feeling sometimes mm's agree to let big buyers in at a certain price no matter how many they buy.
It's like, we want so many shares but are only going to pay X for them and thats what happens.
If, as you say they are finished then maybe mm's will let price go.
Shares are tightly held by institutions and pi's so might see a good rise now if institutions have had their fill and mm's might have to increase price to entice sellers.

The spread was 75p-77p

It's probably just a mistake, but don't see why they couldn't just say CAD.

Normally with an rns like this the CEO woukd give a reassuring statement of why this is in the best interest of shareholders, and what lay ahead.

Thats a good point about the date because I thought they had to do it before results but to be able to take up the option of more shares on the day of the results is incredible.
If its good news they are quids in, if bad they won't gamble because they might lose if price collapses and they can't sell all of their shares within the given time for 115% gain, or they might.
Really puts into perspective how bad the bod really are.
I really intended to sell some at double the price I paid and leave the rest to fate but its really is looking unlikely thanks to the massive dilution, thanks Mr p.

Jadam, lombard have a time limit to sell to get guaranteed 115%, after that if they sell say for 0.5p that's what they get 0.5p.
Zag they might not report until they have finished whatever dealing strategy they have, so even though they have just added to whatever they have left they might just report when they go under 3% and we never hear from them again.
