Well after being invested/ not invested in bpc for many years and a reader/poster on this bb I have used the filter button for the first time on any bb, 4 people filtered.
It's quite refreshing not to read other posters being bullied and villified for expressing genuine opinions that didn't suit their agenda, but can see it is still happening.

Where did I say it had any correlation to starchild's post, maybe thats how you interpreted it but was not my intention.

As for is the main thrust of that investors post being bad is dependent on your view of the video.

Egg, just had a look on the other bb on A..... where you also post.
Noticed you posted starchild's post on there.
Also noticed someone posted a link to a video on one shareholders investment in bpc, just before yours.
I'm sure anybody that wants to carry on researching bpc will be able to find it for themselves so I won't post a link,probably get removed, but just one person's take on their investment.

Did someone get their > mixed up with their < in the 16:05 tr1 rns.
Going from 3.92% to >( greater than) 3% doesn't make sense, surely it shoukd be < (less than).
I know they have a history of getting tr1's wrong!

Think a lot of people might be looking to average down.

Certainly one of the longest placing rns's I've read
A lot of detail as to how nfx are going to use the money.
But I assume that Anne has actually being doing something in the last 3 months, at least I hope so.

But do think directors sent out wrong message with their paltry participation, £5/10 k.
If that's all their willing to risk and they know a heck of a lot more than us well it's just not good enough.

Got to agree this bb is 100% non experts posting their opinions, similar to most bb's wouldn’t you agree.
But that's bb's for you, but if anybody is an oil and gas expert please say so, but going by the post I've read all non experts as you say.
Maybe though some should actually Google what a dry hole is and read some 'expert' opinions, that would be my non expert advice.

Just to say I think you post with your heart on your sleeve and accept others have different opinions and you do not dismiss them out of hand just because of that opinion.

But I have to disagree that you don't except that P#1 was a dryhole.
Fully agree that until all the data is analysed then it could well prove that another drill is warranted but as you say we will have to wait and hopefully the tight hole requirements allow that to become public knowledge.
Also that p#1 was never intended to be put into production regardless of the outcome.
But if an oil company drills an exploratory well and it does not flow with commercial quantities of oil, as was stated here for p#1,then they will class it as a dry hole and that is my understanding.
But as ever just my opinion.

My interpretation of a Dry Hole is
Any well that does not produce oil or gas in large enough quantities for commercial purpose.
Thats all.

I thought that overall production was going to nearly double this year but the rns was disappointing in that respect, for me.
Still great company, solid foundations and can't really find any fault and only my expectations about production the only thing that disappointed me.

Firstly not getting ahead of ourselves, quite correct and think others should also think that way especially am posters which is getting monotonous.

As for p#1 results no pi will or should have access to any classified data or results and I certainly don't.

Did potter get the location of p#1 wrrong.
Imo he did.
To all intents and purposes it's been stated that bpc licence area includes a working hydrocarbon system.
So after 10+years of research etc they finally drilled and it turned out to be a dry hole.
P#1 was always going to be classified a 'tight hole and your correct it was always going to be P&A'd.
My argument is simply this if bpc want to drill again and entice a Major then getting oil to flow commercially from their one and only drill(potentially) was their best shot.
Hopefully the results might be encouraging enough to bring in a major but if p#1 had flowed commercially imo that would have made an enormous difference.

You also right to state that its quite common to drill a dry hole and then then go back and drill successfully.

Just one other thing did you know that most underfunded drills end up being P&A'd while successful drills end up going over budget, just one for the conspirators.

I think potter became ceo around sept/ oct 2011 but in his words

"Personally, I have worked on the Bahamas project for over 15 years and, along with the Board members and a number of the management team, have spent the majority of the last 10 years working to bring about the drilling of Perseverance #1"

So in my mind he has had long enough to get it right and in reality got p#1 wrong big time.
So if someone with his experience got it wrong with the bahammas is he the right person to take bpc forward, I don't know but maybe time to step aside and let someone else take the helm.
