Just to be clear, it’s not correct that the share price will go up to the dividend amount plus the current share price. There is speculation of a deal ‘baked’ into the current share price. It is purely down to the dividend plus what the rest of the company is worth, less a small discount for those selling out earlier than the ex dividend date.

It will re rate to dividend plus what the rest of the business is perceived to be worth. The intriguing thing here is, if they release the EUA V2 plan at the same time, that could be worth a lot, and with the bod proving they can get a deal done (as a dividend announcement has been made) it could well surpass the dividend amount by a sizeable amount.

An ex dividend date sorts out who gets it. Suspending to catch shorters out isn’t exactly mature for a company this size. Intraday RNS would do the same thing!

Thanks but I’m not at all worried. Worst case short term they go alone. I don’t need my money out so will get more further down the line. Ideally both with a dividend now with EUA V2 doing something later.

It’s correct that most stocks do not trade at fair value. They only get to that level at takeover or when some relative financial gain is attached like a dividend. EUA has been openly for sale (or assets for sale) for a while. However tight lipped the bod are there is a lot of entities involved in this. Something always gets out. No MM can hold the price down if there is overwhelming buying pressure. If this was an imminent multi bag, and it’s not a secret that EUA are in the process of some kind of asset disposal, you’d expect that gap to be closer.
The market is inefficient or no one would make any money, not normally the case when everyone is expecting it though.
I’m hoping for licence RNS followed by JORC followed by the dividend, It could all come together, with the EUA V2 details. That would be a serious rerate with no build up. Exciting times to be a holder either way.

As has been said several times. There are institutions that will buy whatever is sold for a guaranteed few percent. The price will re rate up as already explained.

Skippy 100% agree, although any details of the JV with finance details with a plan going forward may see the re rate to more than the dividend plus the cash on the book.

You can’t back date it. People have invested on the potential of a sale as RNS by the bod. If it was the case it could be backdated the price wouldn’t have risen out of suspension and LTH wouldn’t be sat on any gains.

That’s what I mean. You can’t say 20% pays for eua 2 so the 80% must be huge. You don’t know what we are putting in or how it’s being financed. We don’t even know what we are selling yet. There are too many variables.

There is no way 20% is paying for EUA2.

What they retain is only likely to be an initial amount for EUA V2 imo. The amount needed for that project will far outweigh anything they get from an asset sale hence the MOEX angle.

The cut off date will be in the future of any announcement. You can’t miss it.

They’ll pay >80% from the sale to shareholders.
The <20% will be their initial input to EUA V2. The rest will come from Russian investment hence the MOEX angle. Existing shareholders will get a big payout now and a free carry on their shares. Any dilution from EUA V2 investment won’t really matter as all original investors would have had a payout and a free ride on what could be an even bigger beast in a few years.
