There is no divi cycle here, at least not yet. Even if there is one established it will be as a result of the distribution of a proportion of a steady income stream, so the company assets increase to the ex div date, reduce then gradually increase again until the next. AAU have not to my knowledge implied that regular dividends are being considered, but if it is the yield wont be anything like 10%. As us regulars how understand the company know the dividend being discussed is a very large one off special dividend which has resulted effectively from selling half AAUs assets in W. Turkey and 75% of assets in NE Turkey. Those assets aren't going to be replaced any time soon. You, me, VanVan etc have discussed this company over several years and know it backwards. I suspect some recent contributors don't.
