Yes LoB, saw signs to the Oakham brewery when on the way to see Trophy cars on the A1. Some of my favourite beers come from the Salopian Brewery in Shrewsbury, really different, aromatic - its as nice to sniff as it is to drink when on draught. But I find that, as Claret implied, many favourites just aren't the same out of the bottle. I'd include the Salopian beers (I went to the brewery in lockdown to buy a good few), BB, Timothy Taylor and Wainrights in that. Luckily I find Citra still stands up! Wont drink Bud but Budvar is a different matter. Also Leffe is a favourite when in the Alps skiing but somehow doesn't hit quite the same spot in Telford...
Our common interest share doesn't seem too happy. Suspect that the loss of momentum is causing a few latecomers to the party to exit to avoid losing any profits they are sitting on.

But no assurance since! Mexico has suffered quite badly in the pandemic recently so I'm not sure of the affect of that on timescales

Thanks LoB, nice of you. Mine's an Oakhams Citra (which I discovered is available at Morrisons) very much my lockdown beer of choice!

I suspect that missed timelines may be less likely now that Ganfeng are in the driving seat, given they want the product as well as the mine as a business

Be interesting to hear what others think, but don't feel able to make predictions myself!

So AAU has £27m gross coming in, netted by who knows what for costs and taxes. So say £10m available for the special dividend with around 1bn shares in issue. Dividing one by tother gives around 1p. Is that about the amount people are expecting? So implies xd 4p? This is all very back of the envelope stuff by the way!
Jurys out for me. AAU was c.1.7p for months/years prior to Dec 2019. Now with greater 50% of those assets sold (50% in W Turkey, 75% sold in NE Turkey) but with higher POG/ POS and accelerated development to compensate I'm not sure. You can see what I'm thinking, 1.7p with all assets vs 4p with those assets reduced and loss of control abeit with stronger commodity prices and a strong partner.
When is the expected Tavsan development now? In my mind, and in the absence of our much lamented Gannt chart, I fondly hope for debt free production in 2024 - is that about right considering Covid?

I learned a long time ago that if you cant get over the 'If only I had done xyz' then you should give up fiddling with shares.

Excuse me for being less than euphoric but why was anyone expecting anything else? The very good interview with Dr. S the other day signalled this news was imminent, so the market was well aware of it. In fact probably all the news that will affect the SP dramatically in the short term is known.
Perusing the SP chart over the last 12 months indicates this is probably the new normal, with 6p+ being a bit a frothy overshoot. Barring a revaluation of gold as a commodity I cant see much (other than when it goes xd) moving this much in the near future.
And please don't accuse me of being a deramper, I'm a long term holder with a significant amount of shares who has increased his holding in the past week. I may simply just hold a more conservative view.

I suspect the trouble is that this is a long established proper company with history dating back to before WW2 (or even WW1?). I read somewhere that Ricardo had involvement with the RR Merlin!
Does make you wonder whether there is a serious bubble with some of these tiny fuel cell and other green tech companies which will end in tears.

AFC issued an RNS today saying that it had signed an agreement with 'Ricardo' regarding fuel cell development. Was that the same company as this quoted 'Ricardo'? Both AFC and this share sharply rose today but, assuming this is the same Ricardo (I'm being serious here), this Ricardo didn't even think the news important enough to issue an RNS. Yet despite this, apparent minnow AFC with no revenue, no profit history etc currently has a market value more than double that of Ricardo - a company with a long history including with prestigious and exacting manufacturers as McLaren. Seriously did Ricardo split in the past resulting in this only being part or has the world gone totally bonkers?

Not sure Van. I agree in part with what you say but will people be happy with the thought of carrying hydrogen under pressure? Plus, as a Scuba diver, I imagine the pressure vessel will be quite heavy. The infrastructure for hydrogen is far harder to establish, even my local ALDI has sprouted a few charge points. I don't know, EVs (of course technically a hydrogen car is also a EV) have such a headstart that most manufacturers, even small ones, are now in the process of converting to an EV lineup. Plus a Chinese manufacturer is developing swappable battery packs (not sure about that but is quite clever)

Two of my 'what ifs' Van. I held CWR 10 years ago (I was initially interested in it as it span out of Imperial College where I (and indeed Dr S) got my degrees) but sold out when it went from bad to worse. Similarly I had ITM several times over the years, selling out a year or so ago when it seemed to me that EVs would gain traction and become more dominant, especially with the infrastructure problems associated with hydrogen which I compared to LPG. I guess that makes me a) ahead of the curve or b) a total ****wit (take your pick). I have become very reluctant with early stage companies, with long lead times before being revenue generative - there is always massive initial interest of something innovative followed by years of flatlining. Maybe I'm just jaded!
