And a new loan, where did that come from? Why do they need that when AAU has a surplus from the dale of assets - are Proccea and/or Ozaltin short on liquidity? Seems a long drop from 50% of 30k to 23.5% of 19k. Stretching a point to say gold is near its 5 year high too when its really about 20% off.

Read the RNS looking for perhaps a mention of distribution of cash inside the JV present at the time of the effective date of the new JV structure. Nothing. Have I missed a previous announcement, or does Ozaltin gain 53% of that?

Sorry haven't got time to address my understanding of all of the questions, but quickly the offtake agreements were stated as market rates, and cover the entire first 10 years production. BCN are (in theory more than) fully funded to production and positive cashflow (Lithium price allowing). Ganfeng own 50% of SLL which is the JV company owning the Sonora prospects, Ganfeng also own 28.8% (or will do assuming Chinese Government permissions) of BCN shares.

The Chinese are probably fairly ruthless partners but in this industry in South America I think I would rather have them on my side. Time will tell, but I look forward with confidence provided Lithium price remains strong.

I don't think they will want 100% control either. Its not in their modus operandi to date, and at the end of the day their prime interest isn't investing, its as consumer of the product.
In the hypothetical situation that a takeover was envisaged, I'm not sure what price would win out those 23% shares. After all a huge number of shares have just been released at 45p, so you only have to exceed that price to make some cash on a short term flip. I repeat though that I don't expect that to happen

I see what you mean, though since they already own 50% of Sonora via their 50% holding of SLL, and also indirectly own nearly 30% of the other 50% via their holding in BCN I would have thought it easier for them to to take over the rest of BCN - they only would need support of about 23% pf BCN shareholders to cross the 51% needed to carry a bid. Strip out non Sonora assets (I'm sure they'd find buyers) and they'd achieve it. Cant see BCN being persuaded to sell their crown jewel.

See your point Dartron, but they aren't buying 70% of 50% (strictly 71.2%) of SLL, but what you are suggesting is that they buy 71.2% that they don't own of BCN ordinary shares. That would be be subject to the usual takeover process

Only jesting CT - on so many lse boards if things don't go the way the posters want they blame MMs, AIM, shorters, the FCA, Boris Johnson, Elon Musk in fact everyone! Just looking at the SP graph today it was extraordinarily flat consider the couple of hundred deals done

I agree with you. Kind of tempted to accumulate more but I really am at the limit I feel comfortable with.
Seems plenty of trades but a very flatline SP. I'm not usually open to claims of manipulation but it does seem odd that there is so little variation though the day

I do agree that most shareholders (including me if I'm honest) follow 'spot' SP as a measure of success, though unless you are actively trading that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Diversity in your holdings is a good ploy

I don't think SP growth is what I would define as shareholder value. The SP may grow because of better promotion by a PR machine. Or not as the case may be.
I have a dim distant memory of Branson backing away from a public listing of Virgin because the demands of the city for instant return were at odds with the way he thought that a relatively new company needed to be developed for long term value.
At the end of the day the true measure of SH value creation is surely eventual profit for capital employed. Nether company has reached that.
