Well in % terms 50% loss.

I substantially reduced my holding just after the consolidation so got most of my stake out with a modest gain. The rest has been left just to see what would happen although I did take part in the 15p offer. I've seen enough but will leave a much smaller holding just out of curiosity.

I would be very annoyed with myself of 50% became 60% which became 70% etc etc.

Yep, this could change overnight ... but will it?

The trend over the past 12 months is clear. There has been no progress and the SP has been in a downward direction: irrespective of what is going on behind the scenes there has been no progress in securing a sale 12 months after the 'for sale' sign went up. If the asset was THAT good I reckon there would have been a short and exciting bidding war. There hasn't been one.

I know what I'm doing tomorrow at 08.00. I'm taking a haircut and will reduce my holding. I'll leave a smaller holding behind just in case something does change overnight. It won't IMO. I will be delighted if proven wrong.

Well, if you don't like the management then sell up and move on I guess.

I'm down by about 50% so

a) see this out

b) sell half of it, accept the loss and put it in something boring like BP or some other blue chip and keep the other half just for curiosity.

TBF - getting a chunk out at a 50% loss is looking a lot more attractive than it was a few weeks ago.

When taken private by JM you won't see 25p. Lucky to see 15p IMO.

This is going private and I am annoyed that i can't accept selling at a 50% loss just in case of the forlorn hope that someone does open their cheque book. If a deal was to be done it would have been done by now. Anything else is BS IMO. 13 years and nowt! Not even 1p a share in old money which is still lower than 1.5p in 2010 after the El Salv debacle.

I'm with Slim on this prediction. I called it some time ago but now feel like passenger in a car about to crash but unable to jump of the bloody thing!

I'm not clever enough for CFD's etc. Just have some money in a SIPP and weighing up buying back in and just let the divis do the work over next 15 years or bide my time and see if SP drops more.

Perils of being stopped out at 205.

Don't post here as I usually just let the divis do the work. However, I did watch this go all the way down from my break even at 255 to 205 and was stopped out. I figured a 20% loss was enough even though my plan was to hold long term come what may.

The interweb (II 'Fool, Yahoo) seem to be pushing this as a red hot dead cert wealth generating stock. If so, then why the steady fall despite what 'financial commentators' are writing.

So, yeah, it is my decision but was is general consensus of the BB. SP still gonna drop? the trend suggests this is so or is this the bottom and if so any opinion on getting back in to catch a rising tide.

Nero, I hope you are correct but the direction of travel with the SP and lack of progress in clearing the last hurdle tells me a different story. Yes, this can be volatile and can move quickly - we've seen that over the years but for the past 9 months the movement has been in one direction.

Hmmm, way I see this is like betting on a horse that is now dropping down the field. Yeah, unlikely the horse will pull it back but there is no point ripping up the betting slip. May as well hang on until the end. This is AIM afterall.

IMO, it will be taken private. We'll get something out of it but most of us will lose, some of us heavily. So what if MC is heavily invested? We've paid for his shares, no? I'm pretty sure JM would see him right anyways.

That CEO who was at the helm of SXX did all right when it went under due to lack of funding and experience building a mine. He's now a director at Anglo American isn't he?

This was a FTSE 100 company in the dim and distant. Don' see how relegation is step forward. I mean, if this was a football club we would have gone from Premier League to Division 2. Progress?

This tree has been shaken so may times I'm surprised there are any leave left to shake.

There we have it, sub 20p. I reckon 15p next, they run out of cash and JM takes it private leaving us hanging out to dry.

I've been here 13 years and see no reason to bale now. The opportunity to get out in the blue passed me by quite a few months ago.

I think there were certain conditions that had to be met but can't for the life of me remembering any of it.

Old hat: this is just old tat.

After 13 years my patience is really being tried. Looking back I could have done something boring like invest in BP. and compounded the divis. However 13 rs ago BP was north of 700p so maybe I may hang on in the forlorn hope of some excitement here before my inevitable meeting with the Grim Reaper cos at this rate it'll be death before return on investment.

Makes you wonder, MC and JM are waaaaay older than me. They must be kakking themselves knowing they'll never see a return at this rate of progress.

24 months ago the World was gripped by the Great Panic. The SP bombed as we were all at home. Yes, if you were smart enough with spare funds to buy in at about 220p then that is what I would call great timing. Apart from that it is not a fair comparison IMO. This has drifted about 20% over the short term and the direction of travel is in the opposite direction from previous dizzy height of 550p.

Well, a predicted valuation of £2.80 in old money would give a current share price of £56.00 in post-Brexit consolidated British pounds.

Well, after 13 years I still maintain it's Millionaire's Row or Skid Row so imma gonna sit this out and probably regret not selling. Mind you, I still got a few shirts left in the wardrobe if this turns into a Dodo by end of 2023
