Maybe the remainder of the Bonnier lawyers stock being sold and those in the know consequently shorting as a result . I would expect the price to recover in a day or two when the short sets buy back . IMO

I have long term “long” investment here and TBF it has been an extremely difficult hold with my paper losses equivalent to a nice new Merc . However there are good logical and pragmatic reasons on why we are where we are financially , an early buy out would have been welcomed , but that didn’t happen so with some finger crossing we will get a financial deal within the week which should take us to at least January 2024 when a JV go Cole Creek should be in place (following Exxon s Denbury deal which finalises on 31 October) .BFU has had one months benefit only from the new GGS and as the company has said Q4 will be the period when the benefit in output is expected . So until we have some positive news all LTHs are subject to traders bashing to get in lower and shorters protecting their very expensive and volatile shorts . Simple isn’t it ? There is no point in selling now imo unless you have a very low average , so who is selling following a perfectly reasonable RNS ? The key to sp growth is the debt and oil production in the short term when that is sorted there is a big big prize …GLA

Two directors purchasing good to see !

Another point I wanted to add was I think Art by securing finance into the first quarter and by suggesting the finance should reduce dilution is indicating he is anticipating the JV terms including enough finance to settle with the most of the Bond Holders in January 2024 . So in reality significant sp improvement may take time .

However as an LTH with others these are only my thoughts and many unexpected surprises may yet come. GLA

Firstly Art is moving to the company COPLAmerica that will be the eventual significant financial asset ie Cole Creek . Secondly the directors are receiving a bond 2028 not redeemable in stock until after 2025 .

Thirdly how do you negotiate with an oil major if the oil major thinks you are going bankrupt , so the financing had to be in place to enable an agreement on JV with the oil major , otherwise the major can sit and wait until the company goes bust.

Thirdly I doubt very much if the senior investor would stomp up an extra 3.5 mil unless they were ensuring by doing that the company was going to be able to negotiate on reasonable terms and sign off .

The extra warrants are at 4p as is the new conversion price for 2027 warrants .

Reduction of quantum of payment is being discussed provided a satisfactory JV is arranged .

To me this looks like Anavio is finalising the ground to allow a JV to be agreed and indeed expects exactly that ! Art is going to complete negotiation of the JV solely which applies to Cole Creek and obviously has a number of aspects ie Oil and Carbon Capture . Now the GGS is up and running we should see BFU increased production overseen by Mr Cowan .

Lastly I remember Art securing permission to consolidate stock at some later stage which indicates he was thinking of COPL America sp.

All this on the surface seems very positive my only worry having been a DEV holder is the final metamorphosis of COPL and COPL America . GLA

Chairman , CEO , and non execs buying ….might be a good time to top up , looks like ad revenue may be increasing ! GLA

If you are a long term holder buying at the same price as the directors is probably one of the few strategies that works in investing ! Hopefully the advertising revenues will show the expected rise shortly GLA
