Both Ron paul and Rand Paul are smack on with their thinking. When it comes to foreign affairs, US should live and let live. No need for US to shell out hundreds of billions funding countries, to bomb other countries and propping up rogue states eg. he says US pays nearly $4 billion to Israel annualy in aid which is a first world country; US then pays Israel's neighbours Egypt $1 billion and Jordan half billion to buy friendship for Israel, it then pays Palestine hundreds of millions only for Israel to bomb it to the ground again. US then spends more money and lose lives to go bomb countries Israel doesn't like. US provides lot of aid to countries run by dictators around the globe, many of whom hate US.

All that assumes POLY will re-domicile to Kaz which is not certain yet; may not happen at all!

Exchange rates several years ahead doesn't come into it. Gold price will still be fixed in USD IMO in the forseeable future; costs in Russia and Kaz will be paid in local currency; dividends will be announced both in the local currency and other main currencies 'simultaneously' eg. USD EURO GBP, and the rate announced and fixed on the date of announcement will be paid. Since sales income will be fixed in USD, we can be sure profits will be high as well. My prediction is that gold price will stay strong going forward for many years due to factors such as growing affluence in Asia, geo-political tensions between China US, risk management against potential US EU sanctions, decline in USD etc.

I get the feel BB is all but exhausted and knows no one is swayed with what said; nothing said stacks up; most recently about divis in Kaz/BRIC currencies...load of shei--t if you ask me. Nobody is saying POLY is not a risk, but risk is more more than fully priced in at the current price. Gold and POLY has a very rosy future (see my earlier post) and once current instability is over, the shareholders will start reaping the benefits. So I say to people, get on board if you aint already.

SageofOldham...agree, but Russia did not give it to Ukraine so that they can then join NATO and allow US to build a naval base just across Black Sea. Further, Ukraine did not pay for it either...no quid pro quo. Further still, inhabitants are almosr all Russians

Russia demanded the following in Feb 2022:
1) Cede Crimea to Russia. I'm not going to elaborate much except to say unlike Alaska (which US bought from Russia in 1867 for $7m), Crimea was given to Ukraine (without any quid pro quo few decades ago) and Russia just wanted it back.
2) Ukraine to drop accession ambitions to NATO membership in line with Minsk agreement
3) Ukraine to provide devolved governmants for the Donbas region (similar to Scotland, Wales, N Ireland assemblies in UK) which are predominatly ethnic Russian
4) Ukraine to enshrine protection for Russian language and culture in its constitution (Zelensky was going rampant in eliminating all things Russian even in predominantly Russian areas since taking power)
5) Reign in on the right wing elements in Eastern Ukraine eg. Azov Batallion which Russia claimed Zelensky embraced and who were making life difficult for ethnic Russians.
If Zelensky and Ukraine could go back in time, they would accept all the above without any hesitation, but things have moved on and they have put themselves in a very difficult position. I think the end agreement will look lot like the above, but not until both sides have had one more go at obliterating each other comes the spring. Russia wants to end the war and Ukraine wants to join the EU asap for prosperity which cannot happen until war ends.

This is absolutely the case. Add to this the readiness of US and EU to resort to economic sanctions including denying countries accessing USD/EURO and block access to SWIFT payment system for international trade. They first applied this about 17 years ago with Iran and have used it increasingly since. This has led many non-western countries; notably Russia and China to increase holding of gold in their reserves and try limit/reduce exposure to USD EURO. Add to this the rising affluence in Asia has all led to increase in demand and with it the price of gold ( https://www.gold.co.uk/gold-price/50year/ounces/USD/ ). The tensions between US and China is set to accelarate if anything and this will impact the price of gold in the coming decade, which all bodes well for gold producers like POLY.
The comment earlier about divis in Kaz/BRIC currencies is all dross. The gold will continue to be priced in USD in the forseeable future. I've held shares in companies domiciled in countries like South Africa, Brazil, Australia and when they declared divis it was all in USD and immediately translated how much it would be in various currencies including GBP.

With USD Ruble exchange rate moving in POLY's favour and gold price holding up, POLY sp should post positive gains next week; barring any unforseen situation. Closing trades indicates momentum building again.
