MP Evans post h/yr results today of interest to NBPO holders though their estates are in Indonesia.Small lot selling by the bod seems to be the only action on the shares .Of the two cos much prefer NBPO (undervalued) MPE (expensive).

I don't blame investors selling out of Sportech there must be better things to do with your money than wait around for the lawyers to come to a decision that you and me would have sorted in 30 seconds.The "no brainer" decision is due any year now!

Back in at 445p gut feeling were due an rns shortly.I think the oil price on the drift most of the year $890-$640 is due a re-rate and we may have hit the bottom of this trading range.......lots of upside from memory shareholders were not impressed with Kulims offer of 550p........no were looking nearer 800p.

Will have a look at Tyratech (put it on my list of 5) though I have now whittled my portfolio down to (3), Sportech/New Britain Palm oil and Sphere Medical (my biggest holding by far).Sphere have a revolutionary blood testing device ready to go to market after 10+ years of development.Initially it was an emotional buy after my wife died from a virulent form of leukemia, but it was the intrusive regime of blood taking leaving her arms in a dreadful state not to mention they lost her bloods several times that prompted me to see if there was another less clumsy way of the blood procedure. Both cos are in exclusive talks that could last a minimum of 60 days (or more).Any offer from Sime would be a mandatory offer to all shareholders.I read that SD have disposed of assets to boost their war chest and analysts reckon they have the firepower to take out NBPO.What price? thats the million $ question.A previous poster estimated an sp of 760p+way north of todays sp.Id agree with his valuation considering the huge acerage of high yielding palms (60%+) they would be getting, whether Kulim accept less who knows but its not a fait accompli they succeed. Wait as usual, everything in business takes so long........unless your Warren Buffet.

At tomorrows agm Betfair shareholders will have the opportunity to query the co on aspects of a £60m share buy-back and dividend that should not have been paid according to accounting body ICAEW.Also PIRC (an independent Govt body) will urge shareholders to reject the entire annual report and accounts. A rough ride for the board.

Not only is the Kulim stake casting a pall over the stock but the palm oil price of $680 per ton is not helping, considerably down on last year.However Nbpo have forward sold 81k tons @$908 per ton as from end June. I still think Nbpo can match l/yr if Sime Derby decide to pass on an offer to all shareholders which could cost them £1bn. I doubt they have the fire power.

Wow just checked mrk cap....... £740m!!!.cant imagine why must be take over hopes giving that valuation.l would definitely sell at that price if I was in the stock.

Yet another internet gambling co reports disappointing results this time BWIN.PARTYs widening losses reached $100m up from $5m last year. Am not a shareholder but if I was relying on only Internet gaming id be very worried particularly in the USA where competition is going to be horrendous and likely to see only the very strongest survive. BWIN shares added 10p to 90p.

I sold my stock way back at around 515 having got in at low 350s one of the few times ive got in at almost bottom and almost top.I am probably going to buy again when Sime Derby declare what price they paid for Kulims holding How they can get away with this delay is beyond me.As I understand it they have to make an offer to all shareholders at the price they paid Kulim.When this is going to be resolved is anyones guess.The board as usual are taking advice.Either way its having a drag on the sp despite Liberium Capital reiterating its buy recommendation. Personally id like NBPO to remain independent they are a superior outfit to Sime Derby (who in my ex planting days) were outside the top div of rubber/palm oil cos.I guess its wait and see.

Write up on Spo interim results rates a hold doesnt see much upside in f/yr (strong £) and pretty muted on prospects.Spo say Conneticut on line gambling to take up the slack, we shall see, as for the last couple of years this bloody vat case is dominating sentiment and hanging over the co like a dark cloud. Whats taking them so long?.Oh silly me they must be lawyers!.
