I always thought that cos were priced at fair value, obviously at times you get misspricing which investors can profit by so is Spo valued at now less than £100m one of these opportunities too good to miss?.You would have to go back to mid 2011 to find the sp below 50p.On any sensible metric Spo throws up value and the recent tribunal decision hardly warrants a £60m tanking of the mrk cap. Remember so far its 1-1 on the lawyers gravy train and a turn up in rd 3 cannot be ruled out should the co appeal which imo is a racing certainty.This may be as low as it gets im assuming Spo are not about to issue a nasty profit warning and vultures could be lurking.

Seems Felda Global Ventures Holdings and Wilmar are the current faves, mind you Unilever could be interested?.

10 days ago the tribunal ruled in favour of HMRC the co has leave to appeal before Oct15th, whats taking so long?.Your silence is not helping shareholders or the sp.If you throw the towel in trust me you will have a lot of awkward questions to answer, like how much has this farce cost shareholders?

FT has Sportech pe ratio at 1.71! I must be missing something.Companies with pe ratios below 2 are normally for the knackers yard.Oh well Spo must be headed there, cos the markets never wrong......YEA RIGHT!!!!!!!.

Current sp 57ish we've already been tipped off that 2015 ebita will be lower.Ok lets just focus on the pools, estimate £15m for 2015 that makes for an eps of 7.3p and a pe of 8x with hefty 40% gross margin.None of us know what tbe US economy is going to be like 6-12 months down the road, im keen on Sportech because the figs support my rationale for investing in tbe company.Next year may be awful, maybe not? I'm looking further ahead.

Apologies pe 2x ( I wish) fat finger im afraid. Currently by my calcs ebita £26m=13p (eps)=4x earnings! so very cheap indeed.

68p of assets for 55p.Worst case scenario Spo ebita fall 40% next year to say approx £15m that would still equate to a pe under 8x., not that the market is much bothered, thats fine you can add slowly on the dips.Ask yourself do you think in a years time the stock will trade at this low number.The Pools as a stand alone business could make around £17m or 8.3p per shr.Thats a per of less than 7x earnings.So buying the pools side you get the rest thrown in for nothing.Of course looking a year out is a big ask what with the world economy in a state of jitters but if you can im sure you will be well rewarded.Im adding.

The low psr (price to sales ratio) would be a given following the pe/bk value.Really only used as a comparison to other cos in the same sector, however a useful guide.By my callcs Spo psr is 0.55 (low psr means that each share of the company is buying you more of its sales than those of higher p/s companies.I doubt that WH/Lad are on such low ps ratios, hence spending more to achieve sales.An extensive study was done in the USA (dont know when) that low ps cos were one of a leading indicator for selecting shares that perform well over the long term.So low pe, low bk val, low psr, low sp wow a quadruple whammy! !.

Its often said you should look for stocks trading for less than book value.It isn't easy in frothy markets.But, now and again markets throw up quite unexpectedly juicy morsels!.Take the recent hammering of Sportech ridiculously punished by the market for scoring a 1-1 draw with HMRC, with all to play for if an appeal is lodged.The book value is £140m or 68p per share!.ie you can buy 68p of assets for 56p or for a 23% discount. Where else are you going to find a bargain like that? (that isn't in some way compromised).I very much doubt the market will not see the value in Sportech.Im buying.

Well have to wait for the tribunals reasoning re the appeal being knocked back ( heh boys lets keep this farce on the road! ) So am I to assume that they have denied Sportech their claim because its a game of part skill part chance? When by their own admission that would be vat free.I quote"skill will only take you so far in tbe spb game.Luck was a necessary part of winning and this was understood by the parties".Under group 4 schedule 9 vat act 1994 a game of chance includes"a game that involves both elements, chance and skill".In summary Mr Justice Pool said"the most skill and judgement can do is to estimate the approx position to place the cross".It therefore follows logically that winning is down to skill and chance so is defined as a game of chance for the purposes of vat.Thus not liable to vat.So the tribunal must think its purely a game of skill with no luck element. Heh who knows anymore!?.Anyways the co fundamentals have not changed, Sportech was not dependent on the vat rebate (nice that sum of money would have been) no all they have done is given investors a great opportunity to get in 20p lower than yesterday.
