I have come to the conclusion belatedly (goodnees knows why) that the lack of volume/bargains make zero difference to the sp. If I'm controlling the price you /us.....pis have no effn chance! It's a huge difference in mindset that pis must adopt against the accepted way of thinking in trying to value start-up stocks. Now I cannot give you the recipe other than have a stop loss in your head or a run the trend upwards.........or be in it forever and a day. Nobody, not even Livermore & Buffet called every stock right, just more than you and I. Perhaps and we are not in the happy position that we should endeavour to attract holders who are not prone to emotional based decisions. This is a hopeless undertaking unless communication from above as to our ownership policy and pis as valued owners is strictly adhered to. We few...are in a very small minority and imo have an exceptional collection of holders accounting for 70% of the stock and at a guess perhaps double the value of the next largest...in my case for sure of pis investments. cellis nowhere near 500k!). That imo is a huge plus for a Co to have such a loyal 'fan base'. Must say in passing and the (end of this witter) that Rencken has avoided policies/rns that attract the short term buyers/focus on the 'now' but news that attract long term investors focussing on what has been achieved and little to no turnover among holders of Sphere stock. In the spirit of the above...here's an old joke...an elderly couple were canoodling in the front room but had been 'romantically' challenged for years. Del, as usual you make many pertinent points re our current phase. I guess like most we hope sales will be beyond our worst expectations (the uptake taking forever) but translating any up' takes into repeat business we cannot quantify. So anything we might say is pure supposition. I doubt Rencken will give us this info and that's purely a personal view as Woodford will want to play cards close to his chest seeking an exit. He's been clobbered of late and will imo have no hesitation in dumping his stock at sub 9-10, if the sales are stagnant to below what the mrkt expects. Disappointing the mrkt is a recipe for disaster in this type of stock! So your guess is as good as mine, on my prev form for proffesising mrkt reactions......go low!

Morning rugs...were in limbo land atm nobody prepared to punt £10k into a stock that is as unhelpful as this one, given prev form. Time to switch off and watch all the great summer sport coming up and maybe, just maybe the H/Y will give us some hope that the boards strategy is paying off and gives us a reason to continue to hold. Some of us are holding through sheer devilment and bloody mindedness....that's me.

Reed (16) & Mcilroy (7) lead the betting in this week's golf (Greenbrier & Irish Open). Got Mc over the line last year, a rare success. Keeping my main ammo for the Open after a £10 ew on Fleetwood at 25's now as low as 16's in a place.

I should have said...whenever we went to see her run one of us was allowed into the.....To be fair she won a few races but feeding, medicals & kennelling ate up our cash faster than we had allowed for......from memory the other 2 legs bought into another dog but by then I was in Malaya and my punting came to a stop which was a shame cos I was on really decent money. Funny you mention dogs when I started my first job in the Hong Kong & Shanghai bank in London i had a 'leg' in a greyhound called Muskerry Maggie. She ran at Wimbledon and did ok in mostly S3 races (we didn't make any money) but whenever she won one of us was allowed in the members/dog owners area where we would get the inside stuff on runners. Did pretty well it sure supplemented my weekly wage of c £7, mind you a pint of bitter was less than a shilling and my rent was £2 pwk! Bloody hell can you believe that!! I think we sold MM (for a loss) but it was fun while it lasted. Twenty five years later I started going to W/Dogs on a Monday night until i had my car stolen and that was it for me and the dogs. Never touched them since.

True! So let's hope our American venture will be different and we have a number of possible aquisitions lined up. I think it's a long shot that we will be taken over that time was when we had the cash flows of the Pools business and they came to nought. Zero debt, a healthy bank balance and an excellent spread of businesses worldwide could prove attractive to a nos of US companies looking to expand into the Racing & Venues sectors. India, if they could ever overcome the illegal betting which is rife could be a real money spinner. Yet legal operators are hamstrung by Indian bureaucracy and the court system of obtaining licenses. Partnering Playwin has achieved little to date and news is very thin on the ground re our progress there. Now if we could get our tote system into the HK Jockey Club........

No doubt since I have been a shareholder the most important milestone for Sphere was the first CE mark back in June '14 when the sp was 28. There have been many since, the second CE for P4 for intance for without those two successes Sphere would not exist. Between those two events the co value has plummeted (despite a raise of funds at 16 and more than (doubling the shares in issue) to our current level of c £11m. Other important milestones, production facility in Wales, the first sale, positive performance/feedback from QEH, Professor Vincent joining our MAB, two distributors appointed for Europe, Philips compatability, hospital data connectivity, new Brokers, new CEO & CFO, Woodford & Life Sciences (Evans), SVB, roadshows a'plenty, MCH & added analytes to P4, and no doubt more i have forgotten have all resulted in a declining share price. Makes one wonder if we had any bad news where would we be? I mean it's not as if we have had a duster at our one and only oil well is it? Yet the market seems to think it is. They say value will out.....well it's been a long time not coming! Good morning all let's see if we can hold 8 today.
