........Continued the poor sp performance of the last few months and we have to factor in the summer doldrums of share trading in so much as they might effect Sphere. Without the 256k sell volumes would have been just 82k. Wk28 (last) saw one of the slowest ever trading wks in Sphere, 2 bargains on 5k vol, the shares u/c at 8.75. There was no Co specific news to move the share price. Only event of note was that S.Williams beat Kerber in the Ladies tennis and Murray beat Raonic. My £5 ew was running on Stenson at 28's (winner) along with bets on Kuchar, Fowler & Spieth all out of the money so a losing wk (28) at The Open. No bets at the Irish Open...Blimey I have to go down to Fleetwood at t19 before I recognise a 'name'. Mcilroy out with the washing (14's for the Open) along with the freak Belgique. Am 'geared' up for the Lions (7/2) no bet at 8.35...cans at the ready to celebrate a series win!

Spot on cellis JO goes through 7-5 7-5. Plenty of crash bang wallop on her ground strokes, as good as the best playing here but serve is really pony. Relying on breaking her opponents serve all the time puts way too much pressure on the rest of her game. If she keeps winning who am I to complain?

My 'chart' tells me...Ok that's a euphemism for extreme optimism on my part that has JO playing Halep in the s/finals having overcome SW and Halep lowering Konta's colours. Thereafter she meets Rubarikova in the final and I collect! Goodness knows why I think this as JO is playing about as well as me on a poor day. I'm working on the theory the more I bad mouth her the further she progresses.

Friday.......much too much fun to be had today than check our static sp, Wimbledon, cricket at Lords the Tour de France and the Irish Open. Confident bargains will not reach double figs for the week keeping up our mal du Sphere.

The Littlewoods case v HMRC has concluded (6/7) and a decision will be given after the summer recess. Possibly kicked down the road to the ECJ for an EU ruling as to how vat interest is paid. Littlewoods has already re'cd a chunk of cash but contend it's way short of the £1.2bn comp interest due. This has all the hallmarks of fudge....should the ECJ get involved we could be years away from any restitution so don't hold your breath.

That's a bold statement but from 7/8 you could be right if a lot of info is, I hate to say positive but.... kinda okay..ish. It might stop the fall to sub 7. Trouble is with this share it's far too easy to be bearish and bullish in an instant, one trend rarely lasts a few days so keeping one off balance all the time and forcing one into hasty judgements as to the future trend (missing the next upturn!) of the share. With little or nothing to go on that has benefited shareholders these last few years it's a spin of a coin or trying to catch the ball on a spinning roulette wheel. Call either one right and maybe we will see the back of 8.

Outside of my gal...heh heh heh there's only on winner Pliskova (f) she has it all, strength, power, finesse and get 'off my court' you time waster. Yep...that should see her beaten very shortly.
