Better vols throughout (1.4m) saw a penny rise on the week. Idea results as soon as Wed and there could be a sense of over anticipation. The stock price has barely moved since wk1 so there may be surprises in store.

Not for the first time does google & lse differ on vols traded. Whatever it was a quiet Thursday with just 14 bargains dealt on c.117k vol (lse). Last couple of Fridays Idea has slipped so don't expect any fireworks today. The Tech 350 has slipped c.11% ytd (Idea flat). Update expected next week so a couple of days to take a position at c.102/3. Points of interest will be i) growth ii) recurring rev no iii) SaaS % iv) retention rate or churn & v) customer duration and 'outlook' for rest of year.

Ex div date (last) was 23/2 payment of 0.068 pps. Perhaps 0.75 this time around?

UK tech 350 off 24 to 1677 yesterday. Trading (52wk) range is 1300-1820 (rounded). No idea if you know who appears in the list but a good gauge/guide for techies. Couldn't find the constituents of the 350 tech.

Some big late reported trades went through the ticker. Buys of 1x 230k and 3x 235k at prices between 102.8 and 103.10. Sp duly fell. Nothing new there then.

Been there volcano...no use crying over spilt milk. Never wrong to buy back if you believe.

Check out First Derivatives a Co touted by the Torygraph as one of the best stocks capable of a breakthrough. On Aim it's a software co and doing a bofp calc if Idea was valued at same our sp would be c.990p v FD at 4160. So what do you get for an extra c.3170p? FDs rev is £152m v £27m pre tax £12.5m v c.£7m net debt £13m v £0 div 18 v >0.4. Which is the better buy? Take rev v p/tax, FD converts 8%. Idea converts c.26% going to the bottom line. I know which one I'd be buying. Perhaps FD is grossly over valued or Idea grossly under valued difficult to say but I'd back Idea having more sp scope to advance.

Trade vols and deals were off previous levels investors wary of being sucker punched by iis downsizing. A natural reaction to the lumpy sells of recent past. Short term, fair enough but daily moves are just that. I focus on the continued good news out of HQ but would love to see more interest from the US & China. The blockbuster deal cannot be far away, I'm thinking $5m contract which would be massive in % rev terms for Idea.

The bane of pis buys placed as sells gives a false reading to investors browsing the daily trade deals. Not very encouraging when you see a mass of red when in fact it's mostly blue. If you have L2 (I dont) you'll get the correct reading. In my limited expierence you will beat the lse spread (102-104) quite easily.

Transavia airways a sub of Air France KLM upgrades it's Q-PULSE software system to enhance risk management and flight safety reporting.

As we near update be interesting to see if the ii (s) continue to offload shares this week. At last count the top 6 holdings represented c.53% or notifiable % of 5% and above of shares outstanding. DH is next listed wirh 4.36%. No doubt there are a few others at below the 3% declaration level with pis holding at a guess tops 10%.

Oooops! Quite right HG, should do these simple nos in my head and not rely on mobs which change damm nearly everything as soon as you post, be it vocabulary or nos...effn menace! Changes the position if HH cont to sell down. We shall see. Wk 4 trading starts on the 22/2 when Idea are likely to update.

Quick count up of large recent sells total c. 2.6m. From last major count of iis holdings HH had 7.09% or about 1.4m shares. Good chance another ii has been selling down/out Vind LV with a similar % holding might be a candidate. Pure guess work of course but if HH was the party they have finished selling and should not be a drag on the sp going into Ideas update. Last week was a stutter on an upward path imo.

The sooner they are off the books the better and normal business can resume.

Two chunky late reported trades go through (750K & 375k) at 103. Given that DH said back in Nov update..I quote "expect to report rev & adj ebita significantly ahead of same period last yr." Sometimes a pointer for pis who will follow iis selling down/out of a very good performing share to follow suit. Perhaps on this occasion a bird in the hand is definitely worth more than two in the bush. I'm sticking with the 2 in the bush becoming 4 by years end.

Very much on the cards sub 100 tomorrow. Keep your powder dry. Barrow boys looking to shake out some loose holders pre update. Happy to wait another chance.

Barrow boys prepared to offer sub 104...take it if your a believer. If not sell the hell out of 103. Won't be seeing you again! I'm thinking this is headed sub 100 and am ready to add at 97-99 if I'm lucky.
