Sellers cont..good news for buyers.. can't imagine why you would want to sell..but heh ho their loss our gain.

Could be new buyers get in a tad cheaper than my 104.95 but I'm not that bothered unless a retrace is on the cards to sub 100....then I will be! Whatever my timing is rarely spot on but my avc is lower than current price so happy days. Hope I'm not tempting fate!

15/17 last bargains registered as sells perhaps spooked by those 2 large outs at 102? Who knows but so close to update it's contra imo. Of course sellers could be banking on the mrkt being ahead of the nos and will knock the shares on the news. Risky but it's happened many times before when better than expected nos get ignored by investors. Will it happen here? I doubt it but long enough in the tooth to consider it a contingent.

A stock trending above certain DMAs is said to be on an uptrend. Not a great fan of the squiggly line theories but here's Ideas latest DMA. (7 DMA)104....(50 DMA)95.... (200 DMA)88. DMAS are considered to be lagging indicators of sp trend lines but from the above one concludes Idea is going one way only and pretty much from day one.

I should say I exempt Woodford from my rant yesterday. He is a longterm investor and I mean longterm (8-10 years) in cases and but for him my bigest investment would have been flushed down the Thames never to return. Believe me he could have easily pulled the plug on this Co which in sp terms was a fully paid up member of the 90% club. He's had a lot bad press of late and lets face it bad press sells but i back him 100%. As it stands I have a chance of getting something back in a few years.

Whatever, whoever iis are probably the most untrustworthy bunch of investors outside of the shorter brigade...no make that exactly the same, who will sell you down the river for a fraction of a penny profit. Trust me I have seen so called reputable fund managers pull some diabolical strokes. Good riddance in my view take your money, move on and do not return! Jeez and it's not even their bloody money. Precisley the reason I never want my money invested by 'so called-can-do-no-wrong' faceless follow the herd jobsworths. At least the mrkt ignored the sell vols. On another day it might have been very different. Heh ho roll on trading update and more contract wins.

Well....despite the impact on Zam a couple of large buys go through sub 13. Fingers crossed back to normal in Feb.

Not at all sure how these contracts are structured. They could be a flat fee plus annual increments or a per user fee with add ons for training staff etc...No point in guessing as I have no clue. Idea rarely disclose the value of deals. Unless it's of a £1m value I'd imagine it would be more in the hundreds of thousands. What's more important is Idea cont to win new clients in this era of MIFID regulation and GRC compliance and penalties for non adherence. I hope Idea don't overstretch themselves as servicing clients is a must and we know how picky new clients can be.

MCRO results knocked 7% off the tech 350 sector but Idea sailed on to a new closing high. Of course no comparison to MCROs £9BN mrkt cap but check out some of Ideas prestigious clients, Royal Dutch Shell, Emirates Airways and BAE Systems. Earnings growth has been on the rise at double digit rates since the 2012 IPO and are at a heady 25x but compares favourably to other high fliers in the sector. Investors will always pay for consistency in earnings and dividend growth. Share price appreciation will follow the growth of the business. This year looks to follow an excellent 2017. DH and team at Idea are ones to follow.

........Microfocus the ftse software group was the 100's bigest faller (-15%) on results today saying revenue from sales would be 2-4% down for the F/Y on poor nos from newly acquired HPE business. Management changes added to the unease over the integration of HPE. I think the mrkt has over reacted but don't disappoint the markt for managing the mrkts expectations is crucial for any business. I'd imagine the CFO being replaced may have something to do with the sp fall. Trust Idea are up to speed on this.

Not sure that a £6k purchase by a Director will 'encourager les autres'.... being an Agri stock in Southern Africa and all but you never know. Whats more worrying is the cholera outbreak which if not stamped on pronto....well best not even think about the consequences. I read schools have not re-opened and to date 50 deaths have been recorded in about 2000+ cases. No doubt Rufiji will update us on the Ministry of Public Health actions.

Big increase in wks vols and bargains dealt though off interday highs still moved up c.4.5 on the week and profit takers were easily accomodated. Good two way business is always a healthy sign for traders and long termers. Aside from this the EDMS sector is expected to hit $6bn+ by 2024 a sector strongly represented by Idea among others (Microsoft, lucien, oracle, google & zoho). Finn Cap still maintain there 108 target which is looking a tad stale atm. My experience of FC is they are very slow to move target sp's not that I take much notice having expierenced their research on a Co sp of 4-6 with a 25p target. The Co effectively went broke two months later. As Co broker they are paid to paint a bright picture, it's up to you if you believe the scenic backdrop of red roses and daffodils. In Ideas case, methinks the rose garden is of Chelsea flower show proportions. Silly analogy I know but you get the picture!

As recently as 12/12 B/Bulls recommendation was sell at 103. Pretty sure no pis took any notice of that advice. Traders may have acted. As ever by holding long you smooth out the vagaries of other investors emotions be they bullish or bearish. If your holding horizons are little more than a month hold on to your tickets for another 3 wks should see a reasonable return even from 108-110.

Pis continue to buy into the Idea story ahead of interims scheduled (c.wk 4). Not out of the realms of possibility the shares could hit 120 (+18% ytd) by Jan close.

A big lump of stock outed at 102 (c.0.5%) so no Rns re holder. On an up day & new closing high for Idea & shares all round (ftse new high) joined by Aim also breaking out the bubbly it looks like Jan is off to a flyer. Ideas interims are expected end Jan and should make pleasant reading for holders. Comparable nos of note H/Yr 2016 rev £12.02m Eps 1.25 pps / ebita £3.11m / Net cash £4.82m / & interim div 0.068p.
