Straw poll in my local at lunch today, 0/22 wouldn't be bothered even if Col Sanders, next door offered a freebie chicken & chips (I woulda taken it). Twenty two in at lunch? Oh Yea. The opposition pubs are daily devising new methods to **** off the casual drinker. Give us your Name, nos plate, sign here, have you an app, wait over there to be served...FFS, uckf off! I am not kidding!...hang on while I have a cough and wipe my runny nose........You gotta love the BBC the arch doomsters of all virus misinformation and I gotta pay (£155?) to never watch the crap repeeeets they dole out daily. And...yea I can do without Radio 4 and the World Service much as it would pain me to do so, cos the shock jock independent stations are polluted by the nutters and disaffected doleites do not appeal.Plus ca change. I have never known people of my generation so utterly hacked off by this Govt, so utterly fed up with the constant daily scare tactics, frightening people to stay in doors. Yes, I know of one lady who has only just ventured out, 7 months since lockdown. Can you believe that? The poor woman looked bewildered when I met her at the local Bus stop.I worry that we (the British public) have become a subservient people, doing as we are told regardless, stand in line, get in the queue, wear masks, keep your distance, not capable of making decisions for ourselves, big Brother is watching, a covid Marshall awaits and worse to come. How come Sweden (88,000 infections, 6,000 deaths / pop 10,000,000) which kinda said its ******ks and never went into lockdown are doing well, the economy stable, no trillions of dollars handed out and people are satisfied, not worried about catching a 2000/1 shot runny nose/headache and we in this country cower in our broom cupboards? Not bloody me! We should listen to our inner selves and not the schoolboy jobsworths spouting the latest diktat on the ghastly BBC. Christ they are driving me to the Dirty Digger Channels....Evening all.
