3AEY est homologué et s'appelle désormais Mevalone
MEVALONE, le 1er fongicide de biocontrôle à base de terpènes microencapsulés
3AEY is registered and is now called Mevalone
MEVALONE, 1st fungicide biocontrol at base of terpenes microencapsulated
Sumi Agro France launches Mevalone, his first fungicide biocontrol against gray rot in vineyards. Coded 3AEY prior to its approval, the product is marketed under three brand names: Mevalone, Yatto and Nirka.
This product is the result of collaboration between Eden Research and Sumi Agro France. In 2014, an exclusive license agreement is signed between the two companies for the distribution of this biochemical.
"Formulated on basis of three terpenes, Mevalone has the unique and patented technology of microencapsulation EDEN SustaineTM that stabilizes these volatile molecules, thereby extending the length of the agronomic efficiency. It is the first product of EDEN Research allowed in France. ' confides Sean Smith, CEO of EDEN Research.
This innovative method of microencapsulation in walls of yeast allows the progressive release of this specific balance of terpenes. The release is done, in interaction with the environment, only during conditions favourable to the development of botrytis.
Mevalone has maximum efficiency when it is placed in program. As a result of a conventional anti-botrytis applied to the stadium at (blossom end) it is used from the stage B (closing of the bunch) and up to 3 days before the grape harvest. In respect of Ecophyto II, enforcement is reasoned and modulated based on risk. In support of this authorisation for placing on the market, Sumi Agro France undertakes to ask for this biocontrol product, the corresponding CEPP to-do card.
For better efficiency, Sumi Agro France recommended to associate Mevalone with an adjuvant. When marketing, Yatto and Nirka are available in pack, associated with an adjuvant based terpenes, basic Adjuvant M1, which Sumi Agro France recommend the use. Mevalone is sold alone. Its mode of action, as well as the combination of three terpenes contribute favourably to resistance management. "The terpene component Mevalone being exempt from maximum limit (MRLs) and Mevalone is neutral towards the winemaking process, this product of biocontrol promotes the production and export of wines french." says Antoine Meyer, President of Sumi Agro France and IBMA France2.
Its mode of action and use are a innovative fungicide. Mevalone confirms the commitment of Sumi Agro from the farmers and their distributors for the implementation of biocontrol and biostimulation solutions for a more sustainable agriculture.
