It's been well orchestrated then.... company trades on AIM Jan 2014, no sign of SC until 2017 and no attempt at increasing their power beyond 30% (that we can see). Ok... we should try to be vigilant but if the plan was to shaft us all, would Kodal have been able to bring on the recent board members? Seems the wider industry experience they bring on board the less likely it is that we are being set up in this way.... are they not coming on the back of lucrative and successful projects? Why would they now want to be associated with this type of failure?

Miner..... there is no evidence past circumstantial that this is the case here.... by all means raise awareness of risks.... but it's wrong to suggest it is actually happening

I still think a significant offer would need to be made to get to an offer that would satisfy 75% of holders .... would get it for cheaper than it is worth imo but would be a profit for all imo...

To have your shares taken off you at a price you are not happy with would mean that 80% of the company was in the control of a single shareholder.... to go from where SC currently are to 80% would mean a massive sub value dilution, which I doubt would happen, or SC would need to acquire the shares on the open market.... which would push up the price.
There is enough support out there to at least maintain cashflow via reasonable dilution, so no excuse for the company to fold in this year..... so I fail to see how anyone is getting my shares cheaply (unless I'm forced to sell for personal reasons). Please enlighten me on the mechanism, because posters have warned against this on most AIM shares I have been in but nobody has ever explained a plausible way other than I suggest above.... I feel I need to have my knowledge expanded here....

PIs take all the risk now, along with the 30% dragons den investor that gets is a route to market via a refining company.... if this is just a corporate game to them with no chance of a payoff, then I'd probably recommend that they should change their focus and buy a football team.
Seriously though....I can understand why most pre production announcements hardly move the shareprice but imo, we will have our financing sorted out in Q4 and that will get us back to 0.3 ....

You have taken the worst statement from that page... but my description of the shape of the graphs was true.... its academic anyway, this wont affect us until we are looking for finance, so later in the year, potentially Q4. If you arent interested in my theory on the supply chain dynamic and its affect on the price of ore (not my theory but you know what I mean), then you will see a drop in lithium price and spell doom. The battery economy looks to be inevitable now.... I'm happy that my position relative to that.
Good luck with whoever's you choose to invest in HD, for my money it has to be lithium but maybe you think differently.

The link you sent yesterday contained many graphs.... they all show a slump in 2018, flat for much of the last 6months, while some show a further dip last month. The explanation of this recent drop in the face of increased EV demand is a bottleneck in the refining and battery production sector.... all currently getting massive investment... you are correct we have different views which is understandable.
For me it is not surprising that different areas of the supply chain experience periods of bottleneck followed by investment. Meaning we should have more throughput by the time we are online in 2020 and more value in our product. (although many commentators see this happening later this year).

No ...I can appreciate that James. I only reiterate my reasons for being positive, because I think the low share price is unrelated to performance. Maybe if they updated performance more often it would not be this low.... but that is not a given. We might just be seeing that there is a lot of money not prepared to invest in a Malian project until closer to production and who could blame them when there are a lot of investment options available.... and with a subdued lithium price, expected to rise by years end, I'd say there will be money to be made in most lithium shares that actually sell product in the next couple of years.... I just see a greater potential here for a little more risk... I dont see quite the level of risk that some of the negative comments suggest though. Again just my opinion.

In my opinion James.... the team has the CV to deliver this. The lack of additional investment at the moment is annoying but I am sure it will come once the project becomes more bankable....
Want me to speculate on why it is needing to be so much more secure before money comes? I think this new industry/technology is needing so much investment at all levels of the supply chain, that easier money is going to more stable jurisdictions. But (again in my opinion) once the development becomes bankable later this year, money will pour this way.....

Horne, the majority of the price tank was in 2018, and that was from an unsustainable spike...and there have been loads of articles linked on here that cut through the reasons for this and indicate that by the end of this year the market will be recovering. Read both sides and get the full picture.... but Daz is correct .... despite the billions of investment and hundreds of planned megafactories, they have been without fail behind schedule and have failed to understand the need to expand the refining sector at a faster rate.....so we have a demand for the end product ticking up apace but the capacity to deliver it lagging badly.... but it will catch up and then we will get some better margins.
Imo, the most pragmatic articles see this starting to correct end of 2019 and into 2020.... but have a look at Albemarle's demand expectations. Could be 5 times current levels by 2025.
Be as pessimistic as you like but there are well rounded arguments for the restrictions in the downstream market to ease and then it will be back on the miners to chase the gap.
Of course all in my opinion but based on a wide range of industry commentators.

Spot on sxx.... we are not funded through to production (including CAPEX) and the company has never declared this. I for one have speculated though that the CAPEX for the plant 15 to 20 million will be bank/institutionally financed easily and the remainder of the 40 to 45million will be from forward selling.
All of that is speculation on my part.... but I'm happy with my reading of the situation....

I'm aware of the history of the bulk sample debacle..... our money has been spent on this and it appeared to have turned into a vanity project but I'm glad to see it is at the port and ready to ship (eventually).. and just to be doubly clear, I completely agree that the company communications are poor and should be improved..... I just wasnt expecting the overall project to be much further on than it is.... maybe hoped it would be but I cant in all honestly say more than that.....2020 production is still my expectation

BiB ..... if the narrative of this company has changed dramatically from what some PIs bought into, then they were probably over optimistic at the time they invested imo. (Not withstanding those that bought in 3 or 4 years ago.... granted they could have expected more by now). For the sub 3 years investors like me, we might have hoped for more but I had 2020 production written down the day I invested .... it's what we were given as a target..... my only complaint at this moment is newsflow..... my only disappointment is the shareprice as far as I can see the project continues at the declared pace (albeit they could report this more often).
There are a few that go on about the smaller size of bulk sample compared with what we were told 6 months ago.... but doesnt anybody think? We terminated the contract for underperformance.... is it not probable that over reporting was one of the problems? A problem that became apparent when the goods were delivered to port...
Imo this share is still a strong prospect in a country that wants to develop their supply of this commodity in a market that almost every observer predicts a commodity shortage (certainly of battery grade material).
Btw..... my portfolio looks shocking atm... so I do try to keep my eyes open on this....

Shaddam, why is it only Kodal you have commented on since February.... and why always so negative? Any reason why you are trying to save the souls of the PIs invested in Kodal over , say, any other AIM listed small cap miner?
