Been in this share since Aug 2019 at 2053p taking divis into account still 4k down at the time bought for the income but like you say no good if sp keeps falling so have decided to sell day before ex divi and then buyback the next day then take out the divi and what is left buy extra shares if that makes sense and hopefully over time bring my average down over time
I think at this level it is a good income share providing the sp does not drop any more

Many years ago I played with penny shares with little success like you said just there to pay bod and do as many RI as they can get away with now I stick to the 250 companies might have the odd flutter on something speculative

Yes I to have lost on these shares txp is the first one in years I have bought. Unless you have lots of money and can invest over a number of these and hope one does the business but it can take many years I think most are scam ventures I put a few hundred into petrel resources must be 10_15yrs ago I think they still going but have not produced a barrel of oil yet these companies are nothing more than a gamble

Yes I have doubled my stake monies but not life changing unfortunately. This is not my normal investment choice my brother in law told me to take a look it was where they are doing the exporelration in Trinidad & Tobago which is somewhat near vensuala and they have big oil reserves
Have done penny shares in the past the mds talk a good talk but most fail to deliver and go bust or keep tapping up shareholders for more money to keep their wages going!!

If taking divis works for you that's good not all shares fall by more than the divi when they go ex

Yes your right sidi investing never been easy I also think a lot of shall we say bad practices go on in the city still today when we had the crash in 2008 lots of stories come out

Hi sidi if past history is anything to go by then yes it will drop next divi I sold half my holding as an experiment sold 1000 on 18 Aug 1584.14p net 15830 then bought back on the20 Aug 1534.14 net 15428 so had £402 extra take out what I would of received in divi £210 made an extra £192 should of bought back a day earlier but hey ho that's life could of bought for less will do the same again in November and hope it works

Not read anything about dividends been increased yes your right they cut dividend because of covid the company had also started a 200 million share buyback which stopped as well and as trading has been in line with expectations they must have plenty of cash in the bank

If you look back at the share price you will see it has fallen multiple times on ex dvi day another poster on here csdi done the same to get out of the share he has not posted for awhile so he must be out I don't understand why to just the way the market works

Hi ce nice post have started to do the same with this share it always falls double the divi payout if you sell the day before ex divi and buy back at some point the next day even after costs you can have the same number of shares plus double the divi

Hi Banburyboy company is doing good but share price down 150p last 3 months any ideas why? I would like to see it rise as in at 2040p since 2019 even with divis still on a loss would like to think we are at our lowest now
As regards to investing don't put all your eggs in one basket do some research and make your own decision good luck with what you do

Many companies get tipped as takeover targets but it never happens imb sell prouduts that are unloved by investors yes great cash flow dividends ect if they were selling anything else share price two three times what it is now
Of course this is just my opinion

Closing price 26/05/21 1674p Friday 1526p will it recover for the next divi of 46p or continue its downward spiral
