jeff agree entirely with your last paragraph i think mooky will fight tooth and nail to preserve the 20% his family hold if he did not have this thinking he might just as well walk away now i cant see him working for new owners and been told what to do .......just my opinion
Mooky has to come up with a deal to preserve his 20% holding in one form or another and of course the same deal for all current shareholders or raise funds to take the company private
Agree with you 77bb and dont forget a dilution will hit Mooky and his family pocket to a lot more than anyone on here......
Yes i agree with you K67 discounters should do better as money gets short. If i remember correctly when Tim started JDW the concept was just a pub with no fruit machines , music, tvs,ect but as times have changed so have some of the pubs i lived in Luton for awhile a few years back and there was a big spoons in town and they had a very big screen to show the football and they had music at the weekends and lots of punters
At last some good news for jdw .........JDW was the most visited licensed brand and the third most visited brand in the UK hospitality sector during six month period according to the latest CGA brand track it tracks 20,000 British consumers annually it showed 20.5m customers visited JDW in a six month period ........the bad news like for like sales had dropped by 0.4% in the first four weeks of quarter four of the current financial year compared to the same pre_ pandemic period of 2019
Is this the end for jdw market up jdw down trading should have been above expectations given the weather the last two months but sp has halved since beginning of year city boys dont get it wrong seen it all before decline in share price like this usually only means one thing !!!
Yes survivor plenty of 2quid pints but what i meant was this is not sustainable in the long run or maybe Tim has done a deal with the breweries to sell x amount of ale in a given time if it gets bums on seats and they return a good policy
Days of 1.99 pint are gone i should think profit on this gets swallowed up in slops !! if they cant fill the pub charging these prices they never will where we go ruddles is 1.50 not tried that and lagers around 2.70 this is still 1 pound a pint cheaper than greene king pubs so they have room to increase prices and be competitive
first i hope jdw does not go belly up i live in Lincoln and quite often visit the one by the river after an afternoons shopping with the wife !! always lots of people in atmosphere good The sp has gone from 1050p nov 21 to now 500p boys in the city dont get it wrong !! jdw have a few options increase prices close loss making pubs or sale and leaseback of freehold properties as long as the numbers add up gla jing
I think in the short term this will go higher especially if they annouce a dividend but I think the bg side of the business will drag the share price down if they have to make some sort of provision for non payment of bills sometime in the near future for this reason if it hits 93p I'm out of course just my opinion good luck to all who stay in
My breakeven price is 93p then I'm out see no future in this company once this present fuel crisis is over can see this share retreating to those who want a 100p or more hope you get it this is a share for the big boys pi will get clobbered by it one way or the other

Hey aliveandkicking what this government has done to the pension system is disgraceful in time the state pension will disappear and people will have to fund their own retirement except mps of course. This bunch we have in at the moment and I mean all must be the worse lot since the thatcher years can still hear that p...t tebbit telling people to get on their bikes go look for work that's not there just like that guy telling people to work more hours to pay the bills their perception of the working guy has never changed and it never will like you say stuffing brown envelopes in their pockets there is so much corruption in government it will never change and us ordinary guys have to pay for it
Hey aliveandkicking could not agree more with you read this report on yahoo early hours Saturday morning later it had disappeared wonder why!!! Health Secretary after 700 million from tobacco company's to fund his pet projects I say sarcastically. I am nearly 66 now should of had state pension a year ago as I retired early and done my finances for 65 in this country governments always seem to be looking for ways to put boot into the hard working guy over the years nothing has changed and I don't think it ever will a country for the privileged I think
