The trade agreement with vista can only be taken as a positive step forward in that mooky intends to keep cw going in its present format patience is the key here it has been said he is looking for a 6 month extension of c11 this has to be to give the company more time to shore up the balance and to renegotiate the loans if there was to be a d4e swap i think we would of heard of it by now and in veiw of what mooky is doing now he is really trying to preserve his 275m shares in cw if i was in his shoes it is what i would do hopefully it will all come good in time

Need some news parsnip but do not think anything is forth coming i think mooky will keep cw in c11 for as long as he can to try and shore up the balance sheet then renegotiate the loans. The film slate looks good for next year plenty coming out and i have noticed itv are carrying ads for the new releases which must help to get people back into the cinema

Yes your right 308 but does not seem to be in mookys game plan he wants to keep the whole group together maybe hes been able to renegotiate the loans reduced payments over a longer period of time just my opinion but of course nobody knows except him and the creditors what will happen

Agree with you CWWX i think mookey will use any legal loophole he can to prolong c11 in the hope of getting the balance sheet into positive territory then try to renegotiate the loans If i owned 20% of the company thats what i would try to do Just my opinion GLA

Yes 666 your right use your isa allowance first if in the same year you have used your isa allowance then have an unexpected share windfall for me this has never happened lol I think this is what finchy was asking about

As long as you have submitted a tax return and have shown a loss on an investment you can use this loss in the next tax year ie say you made a 20k loss on an investment when you sold it in the 2020-21 tax year then the following tax year 2021-2022 yo made a 20k profit on a share sale no CGT would be payable but you only have 4yrs to use up your losses i am sure thats how it works but do check hmrc website to clarify hope this helps

Finchy8 unfortunately you cannot back date CGT if you have used all your CGT for the year you can use the 30 day rule to mitigate CGT but this does come with some risks

Was thinking to transfer shares from my share dealing account to share isa to mitigate capital gains tax then read the 30 day rule which i read as thus day 1 sell the shares day 31 buy shares back day 32 sell shares and transfer funds to bank account and no cgt payable if applicable

Hi I hold a few cw shares I want to transfer to my share isa from share account done a few dummy sales and purchases as the spread is big I could be anything from £500 to a grand out of pocket anybody have any ideas thanks

Of course shazabo i would like to think that people investing in stocks in situations like cineworld should be aware of the risks and could lose all their money like you i had written off my investment but if it recovers hey ho happy days
