Hi Pete, Every December I make a small donation to GOSH and have been doing so for about 30 years. I shall be 71 in January and will be having 33 doses of radiotherapy during Jan/Feb for prostate cancer(had the prostate removed in May '16). I feel that when you get to my age, these treatments are more often than not part of getting older, but for a child its a different kettle of fish. GOSH have an amazing reputation lets hope and pray your grandson comes out of it with smiles all round. Loving thoughts JJ

The discussion on the Today prog. earlier this morning seemed to suggest the peak will be hit very soon now in England, and by the New year we may be hearing a lot of positive news about much lower hospital numbers and falling death figs..
Fully expect the trading update in early Jan. to be VERY POSITIVE. JJ

Teamlh, good. However you would/should have known of the issues facing the sorting offices and the bb would not have surprised you. Not wanting a squabble. I am invested in TSCO and that bb has a lot of grumbling staff shareholders which helps give a fresh perspective. All the best. JJ

Teamlh, May I suggest you get to know your post person. I worked for Rmg for six months and it was a real eye opener. Two of my fellow postmen were authors, and there was a real cross section of society. The sorting office I was attached to was great, colleagues were generally very supportive. But then I moved to another area, and another sorting office, and 'stuck it' for 48 hours.

blabhein, I'm inclined to agree with you; and 'am expecting that an opening offer will be around 150p. But if you were considering buying my house I would expect you to discuss with the Estate Agent whether an offer of X is likely to succeed. In the case of MTRO are Carlyle able to seek guidance from the likes of Dan? For example Dan may say "no way am I going to recommend such an offer" which could lead to a higher figure of 160/170/180 being discussed. How does it work, no doubt there are plenty of rules governing the process. JJ
