No. When the gov't sells the shares someone will buy them and receive the div in the same way as you and me. The gov't selling down won't mean we get a higher % of the div. IMHO. JJ

However MTRO have a bit of a way to go to catch up. JJ

Hi Chilting, NXT was again marked down earlier but is now clawing back and there is a good chance it will finish up on the day. As MKS is now into selling other brands in a big way I don't see so much of a risk from rising prices, they can give back surplus stock whereas when they manufacture an item they write it down/off. Someone else is carrying a lot of the risk. I appreciate this is a simplistic view. JJ

At the moment good old NatWest is showing the way. The growth in the share price along with a div. My MTRO are stashed away in the hope that Dan will deliver idc. JJ

Agreed Carrington. However it amazes me at how the bods present their case. Everyone is aware that prices are rising, with cost of materials increasing along with energy costs etc.; so why bother spelling out what markets should have already factored in. And some increases in costs may not be as impactful as some may expect. To give a balanced picture MKS should be able to indicate a timescale for resumption of dividends, indeed actually set aside an amount to pay a small special div. which then is not an ongoing cost as no one likes to see the div lowered. The trading update will be about getting the presentation just right. Lets hope they can. JJ

The RNS is another welcome step forward but I fully expect a wait until AGM time in June to learn just how much we will receive. Its clear to me that the bod do not want to rush this. And that's not long now. JJ

Why? they could have had a further 13% profit and rising. Get back in this is heading toward 300p and beyond. All IMHO, JJ
