Hi Pete, the one snag I had was that my bladder was not filling up enough. I now drink six cups of water where the others have four, and follow up with a 10 minute walk and then it all goes well. My bowels are a bit more active but not uncomfortable. It is important to accept that the priority is the treatment, and fit a bit of normal life around that. I stayed in a hotel for three nights to avoid the daily travel, and walked to and from which meant at least 4 miles of daily exercise.

This afternoon I'm scheduled for my 11th which means one third of the journey. The staff are so thoughtful in how they deal with each patient. But its also made more pleasant by the supportive chat and banter between patients. Much like on here, most of the time. Lets hope that we have a RNS or two today. And enjoy your day. JJ

Good morning chilting, having to undergo radiotherapy could give rise to negativity and a poor me outlook. However I am finding that there is another viewpoint to see, one where you notice the small details e.g. in nature, and people, in yourself. I cleaned the loo, and shower yesterday, to notice how sparkling clean it now looks has made me smile. In my view we can be confident that M&S has turned a corner and is on the road to success. The lower sp at present is more about general issues with the UK economy, world economy, and in particular what the Russians might do next; we don't have to add M&S to the worry list. JJ

Not sure that it is a good move as it will reduce their margins, and probably mean that they squeeze their suppliers even more. Lets hope the media sees through the plan and offers a balanced criticism. MKS offering different brands has the opportunity to differentiate their offering keeping price of key M&S products down but allowing the brands to rise in price. Interesting moment for the turnaround plans. JJ

Monkey, yes "agree to differ agreeably". I met someone today who had a 11 hour operation in December for cancer, and now is having 30 sessions of radiotherapy. Each day I attend for my radiotherapy I note some who look very healthy and you wonder whether a mistake has been made, but then there are some who look very frail and not all are elderly. If in doubt when 'inside' please all mask up. Monkey I wish you good health and everyone on this bb the same. JJ

I am having radiotherapy treatment at present and have to attend for 33 days over Jan/Feb; 'would prefer to see masks still being worn. There are some very vulnerable people out there of all ages, my grandson is one who has himself been in hospital too many times for an 8 year. Perspective. JJ
