istock if you have a significant investment here then I would be inclined to spend a day visiting an AML showroom and see what the feeling is amongst the sales team. You can learn whether there is doom and gloom if you listen hard, and in any event you get to look at some beautiful cars. GL
I think you can ignore Iran in the context of your MTRO shares, yes general market movements affect any share but the international banks like HSBC are likely to be most affected in the banking sector. I believe the pendulum is swinging in MTRO's favour and see the FYR confirming this GLA
cj62 hence my comment 'tit for tat', listening to discussion on the radio, the positive conclusion is that Trump will leave it at that for the present; yes Fingers Crossed.
A 5% increase in the sp but some turn their attention to Short Positions where not so long ago the shorts were around 10%. Its a new year and a time for a new POSITIVE perspective. There is good news with MTRO.
To all those who are heavily invested with MTRO I wish you the very best of luck in 2020 and may the share come good again. Mr Jimdson and especially you for opening my eyes a little more. I made my error with RBS and ended up with all my eggs in one basket and lost 90% of it in the crash, so I do know what it feels like. Again may 2020 be the year when it comes good for all who hold MTRO.
Who in their right mind would invest £40,000 in MTRO let alone be down by that amount as a PI. Perhaps you would like to try Premium Bonds the prizes might appeal and maybe you will get the top prize of £1m. A New Year is a good time to take stock and for some move in a new direction.
Dogger this board has been developing a more positive note, your comment is of no help, think about it. More concrete information is expected as full year figs have to be produced in Feb. so maybe try to be patient.
Busy bb here with nothing to report, but see HSBC6 Jan 2020 14:34
HSBC is down more than MTRO today and no one has posted. Even cuddo has stayed away from here and his HSBC, strong willed. GLA going for a bike ride now, got a bit podgy.
HSBC sp has suffered more(being an international bank), and more than MTRO/RBS from what I can see. Listening to Radio 4 it appears Iran will retaliate against the Americans and leave the UK alone. UK focused shares like MTRO/RBS are likely to rally IMO.
pione3r, each to their own view, however I fully expect the sp to be near or even above 250 by the end of Feb 20 as it will be carried along by the bigger banks during results season.
