make of it what you will,

"It has already been decided that a young man who is finishing his doctorate, I think at Harvard, on the environment and renewable energy, is going to be director of the company LitioMx, because it has been shown that the largest deposits of this strategic mineral are in Sonora," said the Tabasco politician, who also explained that the intention of this decision is to create in said entity, a pole of renewable and clean energies, and promote it within the production of lithium batteries for the automotive industry.
The national president recalled that the largest solar energy production plant in Latin America is being commissioned in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, which will serve to bring energy to Baja California. Likewise, he mentioned that LitioMx will be working with public and private investment, because a large budget is required. In addition, it will serve to reach the goal of using only electric cars in Mexico in the next decade.
“You have the market, that is important, for electricity in Baja California, you have sufficient lithium reserves, there is already a car plant, you have the border, with Arizona and California, there are unbeatable conditions. We are going to consolidate the plan and it will be extended to Chihuahua, to other northern states,” López Obrador stressed.
“It is a plan that we discussed with President [Joseph] Biden and it will have a lot of support, it is of interest to national and foreign investors, for investment funds, in the case of lithium, we have the advice they have been with the Government for more time of Bolivia and they are also reaching agreements with countries”, stressed the Tabasco politician.
Seems a great deal of contradiction or translation issues, still things are moving along at pace - then again Bolivia still hasn't decided who the private companies will get to develop lithium there, that's delayed until December.

Alfonso Durazo added that by November, during Andrés Manuel López Obrador's next visit, it is likely that the names of the companies responsible for exploiting lithium in Sonora will be known.
That's intriguing!
