If it was a state company I'm sure he would have mentioned so or at least 'we will' - "I'm not going to have to finish it" perhaps taking credit for the early developments and investments with the 'company in charge' establishing the industry before the state takes an interest, hopefully we will find out for sure soon.

It's hard to imagine CATL won't be involved if Ford are and now Tesla with the CATL battery for the Semi, talks of 1 MWh battery.

Interesting but if that happens many won't be surprised, of course this is not official so look out for further supporting news, it makes sense to me though and recent discussions from others on here,

Ford and Tesla, Ford have made it clear they will be adopting CATL battery tech and Tesla are using them in Shanghai (they also are with BYD in Germany)

Maybe Tesla will switch more NA models to CATL batteries, the CATL M3P battery really is a leap in tech and costs.

Today Sonora must be on the radar of every global manufacturer who wants to sell into the US, we now have our JV's with a global leader in lithium mining and processing and soon to be recognised as battery supplier. Money is no object!

Mexico has over the last week become a critical battery manufacturing base for Chinese, Japanese and European EV manufacturers.

Tesla Berlin Model Y now rolling off the production line with BYD batteries shipped in from China - that won't happen in the US!

Last week a positive indicator that the concessions will go ahead and I'm sure the USMCA dispute will just fade away.

There must be multiple deals on the table with Ganfeng that just might land in coming days maybe weeks along with there own plans.
