Some big buys this AM - £89K, £44K and £79K - but still not moving the price much.

There are sells but mothing large that I can see.

A conspiracy theorist might think the SP was being manipulated for some reason.

Just in the first 10 entries you can see Millennium Capital DIFC @ 0.41% and Connor, Clark and Lunn @ 0.49 %.

So there are significant sub 0.5% holdings but on the basis we need to compare apples with apples then I guess just comparing rises and falls in the declared positions above 0.5% is a good trend indicator - and hey, it's going down for once! .

And US security blanket seems to be working on UK prices again this afternoon.

Guess for those with detailed access to shorting info it is but I go on the declared shorts above 0.5% so it will likely impact sentiment even if not price.

Arrow street don’t appear to have increased their shorts (or not that I can find).

Is this just an unintended consequence of BBs taking their previous sub 0.5% short over the 0.5% as no of DEC shares in circulation drop??

Re acquisitions, after Tanos 1 someone likened DEC to a Boa Constrictor that had just swallowed a pig - some time for digestion required. Unfortunately Rusty has gone out and eaten another pig - hence the indigestion over SP.

Need some consolidation and debt pay down now to allow numbers to stabilise and become comparable quarter on quarter and year on year. That’ll regain investor confidence - we hope!

88 - GG has indeed been correct on the numbers but the reasons he quotes for the decline are absolute nonsense!

“DEC doesn’t produce enough to satisfy hedges so has to buy at spot to make up the difference!” I’d have thought any of the creditors would have noticed this - especially as ABS notes are based on hedges.

“ They lie about reserves and decline rates” - again I’d have expected Institutional Investors to notice and react accordingly.

He’s here to appear smug - but smacks of having little else in his life.

You don’t know how many additional shorts below 0.5% are still in existence, nor what the total is.

Lower export prices than US sales?

Not worth it at current prices?

Interesting timings on Friday’s BB.

A purchase at 1434, a second at 1530 ish (more expensive), another just before close then one after close.

I get that the idea is “just” to repurchase shares but surely earlier buys would give a better support to share price throughout the day. It’s not as though 2nd and 3rd buys were cheaper than first one (though the after hours one was).

PH seem to be getting paid for throwing darts at a clock. Anyone see a rationale to timings - it isn’t price?

That’s pretty insightful Simms - once all the sellers have finished selling the price might go up!

Mind you, you have been saying for several years that they now have income and cashflow sorted and everything is rosy!

Were punters worried about bad news? Guess not with recent rise.
