“It's now just a waiting game until they accept the loss and move on.”
It would be interesting to know what the final straw is for individual shorters.
Is it, as Trek intimates, having a winner to make the loss here more palatable?
Is it a case of as soon as one folds they’ll all follow suit?
Is there some piece of positive (for us) news that’ll make them realise SP isn’t returning to recent lows?
Is it when they stop reading GG’s posts?
Do they have the equivalent of a stop loss so when losses hit a certain percentage they bail?
Or do they just cross their fingers, hope they were correct and wait whilst SP goes up, hoping it’ll fall again on next HH drop, environmental report or fears of ARO numbers?
I reckon it’s #2 - once one caves they all will for fear of looking stupid. If they’re all making the same mistake there’s a bit of safety in that - if someone closes and they don’t they look incompetent.
Mind you, any or all of the reasons will do for me. Having to buy almost 6% of market cap will really bump up the price.
