Isn't that saying debt will be £894m ?

After the trustmarque sale Jon Lewis stated:

The bit about " significant step towards materially reducing our debt"
Could be open to interpretation , why use the wording towards materially?

Also I asked you the other day why Network having a high forward pe is a problem when the company continues to show revenue growth and profitability ( 2020 aside)?
They forecast increased revenue from 2019, so a higher forward pe ratio should not cause the sp to fall, should it?

Exactly, and markets are treating RR as an aircraft engine manufacturer, and reacting like demand will reduce.

They went under with 7 billion debt, with only 5 billion revenue at the time.

And also whether any of the sale proceeds have been used as working capital, thus not reducing debt. That would not be received well at all.

SP over last 4 years is frightening similar to CPI, I know totally different business etc, but the company still managed a small profit last year, has 1 billion plus revenue, and current SP less than 1.5p.
I must say just looking at how the markets are viewing CPI, and price action, I'm becoming more and more worried as next week approaches.

Fuel is hedged this year and into 2023, and they have agreed wage settlements accross different countries which will offset wage inflationary pressures, this was stated in the half year results.
As for Putin, I wouldn't put anything past him now.

hate to say this guys, but my gut feeling is that firstly this is going to get much worse, with covid the falls were sharp , the bounces were hard, I can't see it happening here anytime soon. I'm confident when this is all over, things will recover, they always do especially for quality companies.
However, the way the Russians are pushing the boundaries every day, eventually the West will retaliate, and most of us have never known a stock market during a world war .
I mean let's be honest, Putin needs to be stopped right?
He's not going to stop until he's stopped, so what are the 2 options, the West stops him and risks nuclear armegedon, or he is stopped by his own people.
As for selling, it's got to a point for me whereby I look at these investments long term now, maybe next year or the year after that, because if I sold up now, and resulted in a material 200k loss accross my portfolio, I'm sure I would regret forever, and also sure I would try and reinvest in dirt cheap shares straight away, and then they would drop further.
Do nothing guys.
I can't really see results having any real impact here and with other companies in this market.
Also regarding River and mercantile, I'm sure I read yesterday that they are subject to an offer, it was a mergers and acquisition general update on various companies released on stockepedia, and that may be why there was a mandate to sell up.

Lastly any positive update next week won't really touch the sides, but good results would reassure somewhat.

I'm around 200k down accross my portfolio now, stressed doesn't even paint an accurate picture.
So the only comfort I have is to completely write this year off and hope to recover most of the losses by next year.
But it's demoralising to see and I think it will get worse before it gets better.

I've been holding this for nearly a year, through various very decent trading updates, and it's just be in freefall, down 60% in 1 year.
I ve noticed all the little sells also, 1 day there were about 6 or 7 for 301 exactly, I mean who sells 301 shares 7 times.
Take yesterday, the UT trade was registered as a buy at 195.30 x 250k shares, yet the price never even reached that level.
IR are useless, MMs and shorters have got free rein to do what they want.
I'm not selling at a huge loss so have written this year off.
Results next week will show growth and increased revenue on 2019, may get a 5 % rise on the day, but won't change anything until market sentiment completely changes.

I get what you're saying about having a high forward pe ratio, but if the company's stock does meet the high ratio value with increased per-share earnings, and given the recent trading updates showing growth compared to 2019, then it should meet that ratio. If there was no growth forecast suggesting the forward pe ratio is too high, then yes the SP will fall. But NTWK has fallen 60% in a year and 40 further % in 6 months. Its baffling.

I'm still in NTWK and the performance of that one is baffling and worrying me as much as this one TBH.
At least that one is evidently growing and moving in the right direction yet the share price is down 60% from 1 year ago.
I'm too down on both this and that one to be happy to cut my losses, I guess I will try and accept that both are 2023 plays, I don't need to access the money before that at the earliest, but it prevents taking up other opportunities.
As you've said before, UK markets are a joke.

I certainly do, I can see this being in the teens next week after the results.
Worst performing share I have held for the last year.
Everytime I topped up to lower my average it falls further so not throwing any more good monet down the drain.
Stopped doing that at 29p.

Why would a company that was still able to eek out a profit last year, and supposedly will have enough cash to clear a large part of their debt, need a capital restructure/ raise ?

How can the UT trade of 250k be at a price lower than the SP reached today?
