I don't think they confiscated our dividends,they created accounts to hold them in that aren't accessible until further notice.
We( the UK)aren't at war with Russia (yet) we've just sanctioned business with them so BP couldn't take the money if they wanted to due to Russian retaliatory sanctions.
And BP no longer has Rosneft on the accounts presumably because it's value is now outside their control and can't be valued as an asset.

If we woke up to an RNS that our Rosneft stake had been sold to the Chinese it would put a £1 on the SP on open.
And it could happen at any time.

Big business and govts only virtue signal on the surface, maybe not in the near future but it will happen quietly some time after the Ukraine war is settled either way.
