Okay JDAU I've read you post with the £1000 scenario, based on that theory and just using my most recent invesment here, I would have to have invested another £27k at the the very bottom of a three year slide to 0.5p to realise the profit from the unexpected rise to .90p.
Hindsight is a wonderful tool to use in a discussion.
If you are already "all in" it's not much use unless you A have a crystal ball and B have another £27k to chuck in at a very precise point in time.
So while your example is a good one for we herd members who apparently need to be shown the simplest level of how averaging down works, in reality nobody apart from the BOD of XTR knew the information beforehand that would cause the SP to rise from 0.5p to 0.9p and the likelyhood of doubling your investment during an ongoing 3 year slide just in time for an 80% rise would be pure luck.
Regarding your other questions to me, here's my answers:
"Do you genuinely think that the current JV is a bad deal?
I don't think it's a good deal, it favours disproportionately Cooper Lemon in the event of major success, see answer to question below.
Do you consider a 50% - 70% cut of the proceeds of any potential sale based on participation of exploration & development costs, a lowball amount? (Or indeed not comparable to what might be standard for the industry)
So if the outcome is very good instead of benefitting from our 70% earned share of the JV agreement we have to split the proceeds 50/50 ( less CL paying the disbursements) It's better than nothing which we would have got if we hadn't agreed to their terms and not gone ahead with the project but we are the ones spending all the money and taking all the risk.
Do you consider the amount of cash we’re spending to explore disproportionately risky to the potential size of the prize?”
No, and that's the reason I'm still here, to hopefully get at least my money back. That still doesn't make the deal a good one for us percentage wise.
I will be refraining from commenting further as I said previously.
